Always been a forger, but recently been loving the race tracks! Came across here through halotracks.org. Great job on both sites! I created this as my 2nd race track. HILLSLIDE This racetrack offers nice competition with a lot of bumping and grinding. Made to be fairly easy with a couple of tougher spots, I wanted a good race with tons of excitement. One large large hill starts the speed slide. This is my favorite. Built for speed and quick laps, hope you enjoy it as much as we do.. Actually I believe this post is up to standards. However, This track looks pretty rough. The way you built some of ramps and turns teased my fancy, but racetracks are generally supposed to run smoothly and be relatively user friendly to the racer. With about 3 abrupt turns from what I can see it is not a very smooth track. Work on smoothing out your lifts and ramps as well. Instead of using a 45° block, work on using ghost merging with wall, doubles to create smooth, circular 30° rises. Smooth out those turns and lifts.
Thank you for the responses, In the future I will get a full sky view. I figured since it showed the whole map in the pics that would cover it.. sorry. As for the corners, and ghost merging... you just have to try it to understand. It runs very smooth and you really can go flat out through 90+percent of the race including the corners.. even the last corner - most difficult - you can hit and power slide perfectly around when you hit it right. I spent a lot of time tweaking and testing. When you run the track well its a good feeling, and makes for a fun time multi-person race.. p.s. this racetrack is not meant to be smooth and rolling, it's suppose to be a little bit chaotic with moments of greatness.. it makes the races come in somewhere between a rally and a destruction derby. heh.. we enjoy it ------------------------ Best Wishes, XBL: xBANDlTx
actually. just played this map and although it being a bit rough in some areas it's pretty good. most of you are saying that he isn't merging but you can see quite clearly that he has. nice job. 3/5
