    ORIGIN: Recently I have been making a runthrough through all of the Kingdom Hearts games again, which in my opinion are the best games of all time. I've just finished Kingdom Hearts II and plan to tackle Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories. Castle Oblivion is the significant location in the Chain of Memories games both on GBA and PS2. With the Halo: Reach beta announce date of May 3, that gives me two months to play Halo 3 before I play the beta nonstop. The second month I want to dedicate to playing the Halo: ODST campaign while I have the first one month to forge. A forging website that I hang around often: www.MonitorBuilt.com is having an aesthetic map contest, so I decided to dedicate my final map to Kingdom Hearts.

    DESCRIPTION: Castle Oblivion is an aesthetic map that I decided to make fully playable with all gametypes. From the front it strongly represents the only angle given in Kingdom Hearts, you can view it Here. If I was to make the map playable, I would have to 1) slightly modify the design to play better 2) create three dimensions to the structure only given one angle. The map looks the best from a distance, so I added a teleporter to a throne that gives you a good vantage point to suck in the map. The map is very tall and was very object demanding, so I clearly wasn't able to fully finish the castle according to the concept art of the castle. I have added ramps and catwalks for easier access across the castle. Of course, I tried as best as I could to make it seem as if you were playing on the outside of the castle, because the inside of it is physically impossible to its size and to the Halo 3 item limit, thus making it impossible to forge an inside. After 2 weeks of solid hours of forging, I present to you Castle Oblivion.

    Looks absolutely amazing, nice job. I'm gonna remeber your name and look at the rest of your maps. One question, when you say "all gametypes" does that include infection?, because from the pictures i'm not sure it'd work.

    My favorite part is the prisoner walkways, it reminds me of my map pyrokinetic since they are hanging in the sky. It looks like you just copied and pasted the castle here not very original though. I'm glad you took my throne suggestion (though I wouldn't exactly call it a suggestion) but I was expecting more it it than 6 objects (7 if you count the teleporter). It may be a little contridictive that you made something unoriginal seeing how you're the self quoted "Original Guy." But I'm glad to see that I inspired you even though I'm " just a benefactor of popularity" (also your quote). Very happy to see that though I'm "unoriginal," I can still inspire the great king benzu13.

    Hmmmmmm.... aesthetic wise, you did alright. im more impressed at how the layout looks. im kind of excited to play on this, but you said it was for the aesthetic map contest. It looks like you focused more on the layout and gameplay value than the actuall aesthetics, because the map only looks decent. which in most cases i would say is a good thing that you focused more on gameplay than aesthetics, but considering its primarily an aesthetical map, i think you coulda focused alittle more on that. but overall the map looks very fun to play on and im looking forward to it.

    On the contrary. I am the UNoriginal forger. Pscht! Taking a castle from another game and turning it into a three dimensional playable map is not original at all! The great king Benzu13 never gave himself the title of Original, it was suggested and taken. But when was I ever original? Of course never! What king am I compared to you? My throne is your throne, King Urban Myth.

    I agree to an extent, but i love the way it looks. Haven't played yet though.

    I ,myself, am a huge Kingdom Hearts fan. This looks exactly like C.O. but with a Halo twist to give it more playability. Which is nice. I am assuming you have tested it and does it work with multiple game types? I know this is an aesthetic map but this is too good to pass up. A definite DL from me.

    You make some good points. Why make an aesthetic map but sacrifice for playability, but playability that might not be so good anyway? The answer is simple. Nobody likes a map that they can only look at in forge, so I decided to make mine playable so that fans would have a reason to not delete it from their hard drive.

    But ultimately, the map takes into consideration: Aesthetics > Gameplay, rather than vice versa.
