Downtown Metropolis Here is a nice map I hope to finish. It's going to be made for Asset, and will have a Hornet. The base of it is you'll be able to drive cars such as warthogs, but the roads have been destroyed or blocked with fallen structures blocking vehicles. You will still be able to walk, but cars will not be bale to go more than a hundred feet. Your goal will be to get up to the tallest building's helipad. You can go two ways, both with their own pros and cons. I'll tell you about them. The First Building In this building your going to have to go through a mostly enclosed structure. It will be safer from vehicles, but it will have a larger opposition from ground forces. They'll be coming at you from the high stories, as well as the bridge. There will also be jump pack brutes and stalkers. This building is almost completely intact, and has a massive staircase going up five flights. The Second Building When you go up this building, you'll enter though a parking garage or a walkway from a smaller building. The parking garage will have crushed cars, and a torn up and destroyed floor from the shock of an explosion. It is half under construction. It has scaffolding all around it, and a Tower Crane that is ten stories tall. You'll find more anti-vehicle weapons than you'll find person versus person weapons. The Escape Strategy Well, now you've reached the Heli-Pad and the Hornet should be there next to you. You'll need an ODST to pilot it with the Asset on a passenger seat. It would help to bring more ODST's with you on the roof and seats. Your going to battle your way up against Banshees and other attackers until you get to the tallest structure on the map. It's a cargo door near the roof of the crypt. Here you'll go in, park the hornet, and then you'll exit into the elevator room. The score point is in there and you've survived. Pictures of the map so far In advance Thanks in advance, I can't wait to see what you all think. I'll need to test it one day, I'll hit up the guild for that. The thing I'm most concerned about is what to use for the construction area. There's a crane that will be gold columns, but that's the easiest part of it. Also, if you'd like to see it in forge I'd be glad to show you if you can get me off Modern Warfare 2. The pictures don't do it justice. Thanks, Mark
In all honesty, you have a very good escort idea. The forging itself is very clean, However... It just looks like you've decided to dump things here there and everywhere. I dont want to sound mean or nasty in anyway but i think it needs a little re-arrange. Ideally, the best Asset Escort Map, is a map that allows you instantly to know how well your doing regarding your positioning on the map. I.e on the highway mission on ODST where your asked to escort virgil, you know how well your doing when you reach the final holdout area, because your at the final holdout area. Alternatively, if your stuck at the first blockade, you know you suck and cant play the game (lol) Initially, i think the idea is great, Im a huge fan of multi-storey enclosed structures. However, i feel this map isnt going to do your original idea justice and it may be swepped under the carpet before you even finish it. Send me a message on xbl if you want some advice on where i think you should go with this. This is only my opinion though, not that of Forgehubs.
The map looks really good. There is lots of height variation making the map more exciting to play on but try and be careful not to make the top too powerful
looks pretty good. then again we only have pictures so if you could maybe shiw me tha map 1 time. gamertag: Overlord Lou
Sorry, it looks weird from the pictures. I'm on MW2 today, later I'll work on it. Thanks for the advice and praise guys!
