Hey all, I'm forging a map on sandbox and I want to use the 'carpet merge' but it will have to be under part of the sand dunes. So I was wondering if anyone could help me out there. Thanks in advance, Waspy
Kill 4, you should go into the forging 101 tutorials. Waspy, you can do this with counter merging, you can find it in the ghost merging thread.
What is this you call Carpet merging? Are you talking about making a object just so slightly above the ground that it looks like carpet?
Oh wait, now if I push the object all the way up, will it have the same effect as a carpet merge? Or will I have to use a bracer to get it at the right level? Thanks a ton Michgasm!
Bracer, but you could easily just eye it out. I haven't gotten counter-merging to work on Foundry either, so if your on Foundry there are some other methods.
from his original post, im pretty sure he was after a sandbox answer... As mentioned above, eye accuracy can be just as good as templating, Counter merging is (from my understanding) exactly the same as merging normally, except you need to break the map boundry prior to merging the item. If you brace every merge you do normally, take the same precautions and measurements with counter merging, if not, dont...
