Voting Multicog Octo-Ocho Skyline 3 Fried Ants Voting ends midnight March 19th There are only 4 maps to choose from this time around as all the other nominated maps received an equal number of nominations. The three maps with the most votes will be featured in the next edition of Forge Hub Favorites. Good Luck.
Multicog and Skyline are currently my two favorite BTB maps in a long time, so hopefully I will see both of those next week in the FHF thread.
I swear to god, please start voting for octo ocho, people. I beg you, it deserves waaaay more attention than the joke map.
The map that is "heavily inspired by MLG Compound," is a joke map. I don't mind the map being posted but when it steals the shine from a map that some actually put hard work into, that pisses me off. I'm sorry but it just is not fair at all to have a group of your friends vote your map in at the last moment in the nomination thread (which you guys did before with the crypt of doom). Before I get a rebutle, just think if this was based on forger popularity, then I could get several people to vote for some old maps of mine and get the front page every time if I really wanted to.
I will have you know that that map took plenty of time and an extreme amount of creative thinking to create, I will admit that it is flawed in some ways and that there are a few things which did not come out as planned, but who are you to say that that forged creation is any less valid than any other? Is a forged map not an artistic expression, after all? Have you actually played it, for example, or are you just making baseless assumptions here?
I will admit to not playing it but from what you posted on your pictures (Gameplay wall, invisible chocolate bar, superman, eharmony.com, ninja... ect) you imply that the map is nothing serious. I'm not taking cheap shots at you or your forging abilities but from what you presented, it looks like a joke. P.S. Read the comments on the map post and you will see that I'm not the only one who thinks this.
There's always next FHF, too, Urban Myth. Also, a map really should be played by the person rating it before that person decides how well it plays. I really hate it when people judge things based on how it's presented.
I'm just saying that I don't think it's fair at all to the other maps. Don't mean to flame, I just think we need more people to vote in this thread period. While I agree with the statement, a map really should be played before rated. That rule can only be used to a certian extent, when I see a picture like this on a map post, I consider the map a joke.
We made the map post to be amusing, but when played by a group of players from Xforgery, not a single one complained about the gameplay and I have heard positivie things from other people. Even though most of the comments on the map post seemed to be not taking the map very seriously (I can't think why), they almost all left positive feedback. As Silly Box Cat has said, there is always the next FHF for whatever map you want in and if you don't like my map, don't vote for it. No hard feelings, have fun. Edit: Wait, what do you mean if you see a picture like that? Would you want those pallets to be lonely? You cruel, cruel person!
Voted Multicog. Skyline is very pretty and well made but something about it just doesn't play that great. Multicog is one of my favorite mid level maps, which says a lot.
The positive feedback was sarcasm..... You used some sarcasm in this quote so I think you know what sarcasm is. =) P.S. Sorry for the arguing in this thread everyone, I can see it is going no where so I'll stop.
