Hi, my name is Spaceneil8. I am looking for a good forger to adopt a BTB styled map. I am not very known on FH, but I created Oasis (part of the MLG H3FF MP2). Oasis was recently featured here, on forgehub. Surreal Surreal started with the idea of Hardcore BTB maps for MP2. Surreal is an attempt to make BTB competitive and balanced while still being fun to play. Addition changes are necessary, but I will help you with that after the majority of it is forged. Wow, this design looks fantastic. I'm nowhere near good enough to forge this, but i give my wishes to anyone who thinks they can.
I already sent you a pm haha, anyway the map itself looks pretty impressive although not that all 2 complicated. I know im not the most talented forger out here but i know alot of us would be able to do this, and not only do it but do it perfectly.
The design isn't that complicated because it is meant to offer the best ground floor gameplay possible. Aesthetics are a smaller focus on this map, although it still looks good. EDIT: @CapnSTFU I'm waiting for at least a week to let all the PMs come in. And then I will choose a forger.

Hey Ripshaw, not to go off topic but i think me and you need to co forge a btb map. I love your designs and i think we could make a sweet map. Also what are you intending for the interior of the starting bases? just a plain ole jane open map or some iner columns etc.
Interesting. Unfortunately I have less than enough time to forge this myself, but I'd be glad to work with whoever's building it with tweaks, spawns, etc etc. Good BTB maps are hard to come by.
Yes, I agree with everyone else, this is a very good design and if it is pulled off right it would be amazing. Some truly unique structures, also is the sand in that sketch-up tool accurate to the maps sand? Because that may be important.
The sand isn't as accurate as you'd think. This will definitely need adjustment in forge, due to the dunes and budget issues. I will hopefully find time to re-sketchup the whole map on a better template for the forger. I just want to get a committed forger now so this map will get done asap. H3 isn't getting any younger. I am currently tossing around a bunch of changes, so the map might be quite different than what is shown in the pics.
Yeah when I saw those dunes I was like woah epic sand dunes much. Wish Sandbox actually looked like that. I love the design and especially that central bridge. Hope you can pull this off.
Ugh Chrome. OT: Wow, love the middle structure, it's kinda similar to the middle walkway of one of my skybubble maps ;p I think what this map needs is a vehicle.If purple was redesigned to have a bridge of some sort in the middle, wide enough for a vehicle, that would be epic. The spawn for it could be bottom mid. Also, I see campers would stay in the circular structures in bottom mid and just gun people down, you could add something to block off the middle of them maybe?
There are warthogs planned for the design. Surreal is already extremely close to budget. I don't think a bridge will benefit the map. The holes offer little to no mobility, I don't really see that being a problem. If it is a problem, we will notice it in the testing. The current design will obviously be changed slightly in forge. I would do this but with Reach just around the corner, I'm going to have to take a pass. Solid design for ground floor mayhem as far as I can tell.
I'd have to disagree with B3NW... this map definately couldnt do with a vehicle. Driving would be almost impossible to navigate through the constant twists and turns in the map, which would force the vehicles out into the dunes. Which would mean a spartan Laser HAS to be on the map as a counter weapon, missle pod isnt accurate enough and takes too many shots to hit, and rockets are pathetic when aiming upwards and long distance across uneven terrain. A possible weapon list without vehicles would be: Sniper/beam rifle x 2 (low ammo) - Located at or near each base Sword / Gravity Hammer - Central weapon spawn Power drain located at Green and orange Carbine rifles / Battle Rifles scattered, Plasma Pistols at purple Weapon list with vehicles: Sniper/beam rifle x 2 (High ammo) - Located at or near each base Spartan Laser/ Rocket Launcher (High Ammo) - Central weapon spawn Power drain located at Green and orange Carbine rifles / Battle Rifles scattered, Plasma Pistols - Yellow and Light Blue Bubbleshield (high respawn) - Purple Misslepod/ Stationary turret - Each Base Just as an interpretation, i reckon that would probably utilise the map best for keeping it fair.
About the vehicle problem. It is like the default Sandbox layout: It has a warthog and it can be used as a huge advantage, but teams that leave it alone can do fine (in a game size of 4v4/5v5).
I'm planning on having Massive amounts of testing on this map, every potential problem will be fixed. That being said, here's what I'm planning so far... -One Warthog under each base's overhang -Rockets (probably no clip) at Orange and Green -Plasma Pistol at Purple -Camo under the arch at yellow/light blue -Missile pod at each team's base -Carbines/BRs scrattered -Splazer/OS/Sentinel Beam Bottom mid The jumps by yellow and light blue are there to block some side to side LoS. If it ruins the Hog's path I will edit it.
