THE FOLLOWING IS THE EPIC TALE OF HOW A SOLDIER WENT COD STYLE AND THREW A GRENADE BACK. THE BELOW IS THE WRITTEN ARTICLE AND THE LINK CONTAINS A VIDEO. ALL I CAN SAY IS THANK GOD FOR GRENADE INDICATORS. BBC News - Soldier 'threw back hand grenade'
That soldier had balls to throw back that grenade. But the concept of throwing back grenades dates WW2, and that's where IW got the brilliant idea of implementing it into COD2, COD4, and MW2. And not once in the story did it ever mention anything video game related. I've never been in a conflict or war before, but my first instinct, should a grenade fall right by my feet, is kick or throw it back. He was probably following his instincts. But still, that guy is a hero.
"The blast radius of a grenade is always 1 foot greater than your jumping distance." Hence why he threw it. I'd do the same thing if it were that close to me. If it were like a foot away, **** it, I'm running!
Soldiers are supposed to throw the grenade back, especially if it lands right next to them. I don't get why this is so special, what else would he of done... just watch it?
