I am very interested in designing maps as I always lose my motivation when I forge a map, but I'm very interested in designing maps for other forgers to make for me. I have a problem on losing my focus when I forge so I wind riding around the unfinished map 1000 times. I was hearing there is google sketch up or something that is quite helpful to me. I would like a download and some tips for designing a map or using the certain program. I just need a link and some tips and I'll try and design a map.

First, click start (for windows 1995-2000 ME, or Xp) or the windows 'flag' icon if you are using Vista. If you are on Mac or other OS, then you may need to skip this instruction and progress straight to instruction 2.

Congratulations on making it this far. Now navigate your way to an internet browser. WorldWideWeb, Mosaic, Netscape Navigator Netscape Communicator, Internet Explorer 1, Opera, Mozilla Navigator, Safari, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome are all good suggestions. Once you have found one, click on it to run the software.

Be patient as the software boots up, this can take any amount of time from 15μs to several centuries, depending on your computing capabilities.

Once your internet browsing software has fully loaded, click on the url box, which is commonly situated near the top left portion of your screen. Remove the url of the current page, so that the box is empty.

Carefully type the following; Google.com Your doing great! Just a few more steps, hang on, it's gonna get bumpy.

In the box in the middle of the page (be careful not to confuse this with the notorious url box that you used earlier) type the following; Sketchup.

Without reading any information put before you, click blindly onto the first link. This is an act of faith, and is an important aspect of the transition from vegetable sack to sentient life.

Congratulations for the third time, you have successfully made it to the Sketchup website. Unfortunately, checkpoints or saves do not function on internet browsers, so be careful not to hit that big X or you'll have to start all over again!

Navigate your eyes and your mouse cursor to the 'Download sketchup' box on the homepage. You shouldn't be able to miss it. It's big, blue and bold (alliteration, but more on that later). Carefully click on the box, making sure your mouse cursor is on top of the box when clicking!

This part is tricky, so i need your undivided attention. Once the new page has fully loaded, you need to click on the 'Download Sketchup' link, not the 'Download Sketchup Pro' one! You must be careful, because if you have a credit card at hand, you could unwillingly pay $495.00 for a product you will never have the intelligence to operate.

The worst is over, well done. Now check the appropriate sentance at the top for either Windows or Mac, and click 'agree and download'. Don't worry about the terms and conditions, they would take you far too long to read.

    Hats off to you.

The objects you want are part of a special canvas for forge on Sandbox. Clicky Here for more information so you know for later, I explain how to get the template and how to access the objects. I also cover why your computer can be slow running a 3-D software program, and some tips to reduce the lagginess if affected.

    Hope that helps.

I'm putting this in my sig w/ spoiler tags... This is great lol...

OT: sketchup is a great tool to pre-design maps in, I have used it before myself(although it is tricky to learn IMO). Good luck.

I wasnt gonna say anything initially. But I dont see how this is great...
This is a classic example of how a new member asks for help at ForgeHub and gets flamed.
Whats worse is that you encourage this type of behavior by making a signature of it.
Im glad at least one person tried to help.

This is a classic example of what a quick google search would prevent. What's better, is that the member is a premium and kindly took time out of his day to help the new member.

Like you said before, at least someone helped. There was no flaming, nothing of that sort. There was a long drawn out by Matty.

Well, this is a classic example of why many people hate Forgehub, and I thought I would give this site a chance to prove me wrong, but I was still neglected from a premium member too. But I'm happy to see that Dirty Jockey and PRSplayer42 helped me out so I'm happy with them and thank you guys for you help unlike the others.
