This map, like I said with the first version, is an inspired remake of GoW 2 map "Gold Rush" with a Halo twist. The twist is making different terrain levels for cover instead of making cover barricades so one can keep mobile. The lift is there for the sake of inspiration from "Guardian", and "Construct" being great maps and containing lifts.

    *Updates For Version 2*

For the second version I noticed there was so much more potential for aesthetic design to be done because when I looked at the top and a lot of it it was rather plain other than the grassy areas. Also people pointed out there is no cover really for anyone being shot at from the high grounds. There are also some ramp and merging problems I addressed and fixed. Now after removing some pieces in some areas and making newer objects for the map. I feel the map is completely changed in look and style cause the vantage points and overall outcome map gave me more weapons to lay out.

This map is a testament to how the community at Forge Hub drives perfection into every post. You took a great inspiration and made it a map. Then you took a great map and made it a Benchmark. Awesome work man.
    10/10.

lol and I thought you were a forge-union type. o well.

As for the map, I have not played on Gold Rush or anything like that. The map is pleasing to the eye, looks well thought out and well worth a DL.

My one area of concern is that for such a small map (lets be honest, every skybubble map is small) it is a little overpowered. I you are doing a drop-spawn, power weapons like a sniper should usually be 150 or 180, and rockets always at 180 (both of these are assumptions based on normal clips of 12 snipe shots and 4 rockets.) Also brute shots are too powerful to be left at 45, and should be changed to 60 if not 90.

Other than this smaller concern, I look forward to playing the map, and I like that you took the time to make drop-spawns. They are harder to edit and deal with, but I think are good game-play changes. I also really like how you used a multitude of different textures/colors i.e. tubes, colored columns, bottom of ramps, grass, wood. Well done.

as you stated in your intro, you need more architecture. The map as it stands plays nicely but just doesn't have that gemstone quality it could have. If you know what i mean. I'm not trying to insult your map, just stating that it could be made more flashy without hurting the gameplay or the integrity of the map.

My one suggestion is change the direction of the horizontal wood bridges on the landings. Turn them to face the same direction as the ramp. In a general thought the wood bridges should always flow the same way.

Maps like this intimidate my humble constructions so much, it seems pointless to post them. Great map

The only thing that this map is weird is over shield spawn. I just find it weird on a ramp. but that's my opinion. If it works best there then keep it there.

    nice map Flawless.

it looks fantastic. instant dl. i really like the arch- thing that runs through the middle of the map. the merging is exquisite and in addition to looking fantastic it seems as if the gameplay is beyond legit. cant wait to get a game going w/ some friends this weekend. again, great map.

Wow? really this is the v2 idiot

Also i do love how you used the colored columns as support for the walls. It doesnt really show but when i played this it actually prevented alot of cross map grenades

Yes, OK, i screwed up on that. But your going to bash my constructive comment when you blindly praise every freaking map you see just to gain posts and go up in rank. You my friend are the idiot. I bet you didn't even download the map and play on it. I try to help people and give them advice.

And to call a map flawless, is just ignorant. Even Bungie's maps have flaws, same goes with pro circuit maps. EVERY map has its flaws.

You say this map is compatible with oddball, but there is a really simple way to pseudo break the map and camp behind the lift. If you jump on the wall attached to the colored column on top (see top left of last photo), and from there jump onto the wall of arch pieces in front of the top of the lift, its easy to jump over and behind the lift. Other than that, I like the aesthetics, but I agree with earlier comments that the weapons are a little over powered for a map this size.
