We don't have a thread for this? Well, I'll offer my opinions once I get farther into the game. Until then, let's here yours.
I got on like the 13th played the first two levels and have not played it since, don't get me wrong I actually really like the game just working up the motivation to actually play it can be fairly hard for some reason. Probably because I got Mass Effect 2 the same day though.
It's pretty awesome. I'm in Dionysius park and the amount of possible options plot wise is pretty nice. You can tell that if you choose certain things it really does change the outcome of the game. Multiplayer is pretty fun too. I just got to level 21 and the only thing I really have to complain about is the nail gun.
No, it really has no unfair advantages/disadvantages. You really only play with people equal to or lower than your rank, and there are no campers. The only cheap things are the turrets and the hacked dispensers.
I remember I beat the first Bioshock using nothing other than that pipewrench- I only used real weapons a handful of times. I even beat the last boss with the pipewrench. Is it still overly strong?
Here's the thing about the multiplayer: its good and its fun, but its just not something you're going to want to want to come back to with all these other games that are focused mainly on multiplayer. Bioshock is meant to be a singleplayer game. And the singleplayer campaign is great, its amazing in my opinion, the best ive ever played. But the multiplayer just isn't the focus here. Yeah i played it for a couple days, it was pretty fun, but i just can't come back to it now with games like CoD and Halo and Bad Company (pretty soon) that just have a much deeper and more addicting multiplayer because that is the focus of these games. Again, that doesnt make Bioshock 2 any worse, its still an amazing game, but the single player is really the only reason to buy the game. The multiplayer is just like a little bonus after you complete the single player that you may play for a little while and say "oh that was pretty fun..." and then pop CoD back in. Well first of all the wrench was not overly strong in the first game, sure you can probably beat it on easy using nothing but the wrench, but its a much better and more fun experience to play on a harder difficulty and have to use strategy and think of new plasmid/weapon to take down everything the game throws at you. Second, there is no wrench in the second game. So i guess a simple "no" would suffice to answer your question. But you can melee with any weapon, although it does almost no damage. At lest on the hard difficulty. And for future reference, although i doubt anyone cares about my preferences, i would prefer if we could just title the thread [game title] Discussion Thread. i really hate this "& discushionzzzzzz" ****.
I went through bioshock 2 using nothing but the shotgun and rivet gun. Now I am trying to complete the campaign on hard but I have hit a dead end. I have 7$, no health packs or eve hypos and I have to go and harvest 6 bodies with 3 different little sisters. The result is that I keep on dying against even simple splicers and respawn back in a vita chamber with half health.
My god, I read in my mind a little while a read. I have been to the mw2 thread probably 40 times and always thought Dish Cushions. I'm a dumbass. I second that btw.
