Mombasa City Street is an urban style map built specifically for (**** *****) gametype. It should play 4-12 players and keep the flow of the game very spiced up. The reason for the unnamed gametype is to build hype for it and also keep interest in the project. As of now the gametype is a big joint project as well as the projected 5 map release with the gametype. I know some of you know what the gametype is but i would like to keep it a secret from the community as a whole till the release date. Anyway here is some pictures to hopefully spike interest in the map if not in the gametype as well. The only true Aesthetic piece in the map it will house a power weapon Look at 2 of the main buildings and one of the skywalks that bridge the 2 Another look at the Aesthetic piece and the last building in the map Kinda the feel i want to get out of the map when its done Updated pics: This image has been resized. Look at the Wraith spawn area. Anyway this is the map, be ready for many more ODST remakes or inspired remakes i should say.
it looks fairly good but it looks like theres too much room around the sides i'll dl and play later because my bros on the xbox. 3/5
Hmm... looking pretty nice. As a Cheeky Burito said I tdo think the open spaces will need some more cover BUT then again I dont know what this map will be intended for. Good work.
If I remember rightly there is a level on ODST very similar to this did you get your idea from that? Looks good so far very open though want to see how this comes out
Looks great, I can see how you drew inspiration from ODST. As others have said there are parts which could use more cover. For the alleyways inbetween buildings I would suggest things such as block smalls to give them the more cluttered disorganized feel. Keep up the good work.
Yah you cant be too judgmental about the map because you dont know the gametype. But from what i can see it looks very cool. The aesthetics look great and it creates a very effective city like feeling.
I really want to see this unfold well. I am here to comment and offer you a video. On the map I hope it has the basics of Asset, but without vehicles. I love those types. I also enjoy your Rocket Spawn are, along with your use of rooms. I hope to see this unfold well. I would love to test if I am online as well. So, leave me Visitor Message if you would like a video of your map.
Thanks for the comments guys, yeah well i can tell you the gametype is based off of Asset but it's not quite Asset. As for the alleyways im doing the clutter last lol. I plan on putting A. pinned warthogs, pinned mongoose and some crates as well as radio towers. Those Sky walkways i mentioned are for jackal snipers that much i let you know. @ Sarge, Thankyou very much i will most defiantly take you up on your offer and send you a message for the testing day if you are interested. Also on image 3 that back part will house a wraith for the covenant, and if it doesnt work it will house a destroyed wraith, cause it looks bad ass with the effects on.
Speaking of which, Can I see the map? Not to be rude. But I want to see this so badly. Looks awesome.
*guesses that gametype is fire fight* It looks good so far, but like others have said: hard to judge without knowing how the flow of the gametype is going to be.
God I love the hype were your creating. Our gametype will be quite epic indeed and win plenty a contests. Oh and did G043R show you how to finish it?
yup and im excited that i don't got to sacrifice the aesthetics to do it. So not only will it look good but it'l play good 2.
