DESERT BANE Hey its Darkling, this is a racetrack I made not too long after ghost merging came about. I have recently updated it and made it roughly 5 seconds longer. It is set up for the racetracks variant and is quite a blast to play if your not looking for anything too serious. I have hit the object limit on this map putting every bit of detail I could fit and I hope it shows so enjoy! Here's the pictures. I've taken them following the driver so you hopefully can get a feel for the track. Note- That big blue arrow has now been taken out of the map and a grav lift is now under it DOWNLOAD HERE EDIT- I have now set it up for the Racetracks variant.

Wait a min. This was in map preview a min ago and the OP state the map was not finished yet? I am not really sure why this was moved here. Does anyone know what's going on? Edit: If this was moved at the OPs request, then could you at least edit your OP. It seems that you slapped this post together in five seconds. It is missleading. Next time can you spend more than five seconds wrting up your map. It's seems that you don't really care about posting and just want to get some DLs, That's fine but I am not going to DL due to lack of information.
Looks complete to me he used excellent ghost merging and this map has a really good look like the fact that it easy to mess up on so it actually takes skill, not to mention that its nice to look at. P.s. why are you being a total **** cause you cant put 2 and 2 together?
The map does look decent I never really commented on the map looks. Being that the OP said he did not set up the map for any game variant and the map was in Map Preview a min ago makes me wonder how the map could suddenly fix itself in a few mins. The fact that the author spent time to make a map and put up a two second summary and didn't even have time to correct the fact that the game may or many not be set up yet. I have the right to not want to DL. So before you come here calling people names, get your facts straight.
Haha, this looks so unique compared to all of the other identikit racetracks on here. I'll have to give it a spin later. Unfortunately, some of it does look like it could use some refining. Particularly the terrain parts of the track.
Look, i said the reason I didn't set it up for racetracks because I DIDN"T KNOW. And by the way I never posted a map preview. I know its a short description I made it that way because you see exactly what you get. Thank you. I know the Terrain bit is slightly rough but i'm about 3 objects off the limit because I didn't use a glitched map However i may be able to delete some stuff, do you have advice as to what i could do to help it look better. Thanks
Well, I was looking at it in the map preview section. Then it must have been moved with no redirect. I just didn't understand why you posted it if it was still unfinished. The map looks great the goal is the easy part. Change the game type to VIP while you are in forge. Next place down one VIP destination point. Click X to see how many are on the map. Make sure there is only one on map. Delete the rest. Next place the height to the desired height. Whether or not you want to make the goal point uncheatable, this will work for now so people can use the map for a racing game variant. I think it can be a fun map to ramp around on. Just make sure you have at least 16 spawn points.
Yeah i actually tried to place a goal point and it works, but only for 1 lap...why is this? EDIT- Scratch that...Desert Bane now works on the RACETRACKS VARIANT!!
Oh wow long story but that link before was to a different, worse version of this track.. oh god. Its completely fixed now however so feel free to download what you ACTUALLY see in the pictures.
Not too bad. I would move the goal point to the end of the track, not the beginning. In other words have the goal right before you reach the mongooses. Probably right at the entrance to the spawn cave. You should take out the ghost and warthogs to make it only eight mongooses on instant respawn. Other than that is was fun. Next time make your tracks a bit longer, if felt too quick. You should keep making tracks. You seem like you potential to make some great maps.
