first real try at c4d's

I may sound noobish asking this, but what are c4d's? I do think it looks ok though.

You just need to fix the lighting and border, everything else looks great!

 

I reckon you followed a tut?
I saw one with a render/stock just like this.

Anyway, I kinda like it as well. Maybe burn the parts where the lighting is not concentrated?

 

300 px soft brush set to white. Place above head so that the angle and blah blah is right. Then glausian blur or whatev that is and lower the opacity

 

very nice! lighting is definetly off, but the c4d work is very well done.. i am terible at c4d pieces
