It has been 3 long months since I made my last map, but now you can throw a new competitive map into your hard drive collection. Unggoy, a three room based map that plays FFA games such as Slayer, Oddball, and Koth. with the varied windows and multiple routes throughout Unggoy, campers would have to find another map to pitch their tents. Weapons have been thoughtout carefully such as dual-wield weapons to clear hallways without overpowering the other player and carbines for those medium ranged combat situations. If your not the Lone Wolves kinda guy, Unggoy plays well with 2v2 Team Slayer. Now here are some teaser shots. Learn more about Unggoy and be one of the first to play this map on 2-10-10! See you on the front lines! -xItZ jENKiNSx
yeah buddy, this map is better than the two screenies you showed me, i cant wait to test this bad boy
It's looking great already.. It all looks smooth and well-forged and the design isnt half bad either. Does the map name unggoy come from the native name for grunts? I think i remember seeing it one of the booklets that come with the game
Yes, the name Unggoy has something to do with grunts. You'll be able to read more about the map's backround story on its release date.
Unggoy are the species; grunts are what the humans call them. This map looks promising. Hope I can play it on 2-10 or at least after it's released. There are a lot of nice aesthetic touches plus I like the multiple rooms and outside area where you can battle it out.
Wow dude, this looks epic... really dont understand what isn't done about it that needs to wait til then but i'm all for playing this anytime
Hey this is beautiful, I am offering to make a video for it. All I need is a few things from you. PM me if you want the video.
I'm a sucker for room-based FFA maps, so I am going to say that I am fairly hyped for this map's release. So far, I can compliment you on that unique plasma rifle placement and your cleanliness of objects and whatnot. By the way, did you know that Unggoy actually means "Monkey" in Filipino?
It looks really nice, im not a huge fan on using tin cups as flooring, ive witnessed some bad physics in them that kinda spoils gameplay (like nades hitting the floor then rolling backwards towards me??) but anyway, the ramp with the SMGs is very good looking, however, i dont think a player should be made to jump to a location. It'd still look very nice if it was a connecting ramp. The layout of the map seems very appealing, and the forging itself is very clean. The plasma rifle placement looks original, but i just get the feeling it could be annoying when trying to dual wield quickly... Overally, it looks great. 8.5/10
Wow, Jenkins, you were right, lots of people are posting random stuff about the map's name, lol. Looks great, I see you made sure to include the screenshot of you sticking me... : ( Anyway, looks great, but that grassy section could have really used a tree... : )
