CTF Pro - Found

    "CTF Pro - Found" Is the full name of the map. Despite that it only says FOUND in image below.

    CTF Pro - Found is a Foundry map designed for use with the CTF Pro game variant.

    I created this map for use with a CTF gametype a buddy and I put together for intense small team tactical CTF. This is version 1.1, the original was created back in December when the Heroic pack was first introduced. Though it had very few downloads I have heard only good things from those who played it. I put in the time to make sure everything lined up perfectly and nothing interfered with your ability to play a clean game of CTF.

    Here is a link to the gametype. (highly recommended...the map now supports VIP, Territories, King of the Hill, Oddball, and Assault...but it was designed for CTF Pro.)

    Before playing you may want to see that the map includes three different jump shortcuts on each side, for non-flag carriers. Here they are:

    These give players a quick way to get into the action or to the enemy base to pick up their flag before their returning flag carrier makes it back to score.

    Great looking map! I can't believe this is your first post, it looks excellent! I love all the suspended platforms and walkways, I have it q'ued.

    Ergh...
    Flags+Shield Doors=Lots of camping involved.

    Other than that, I like the look of this map.

    You know in my experience, while the shield doors do get used by flag carriers who are on the run to turn the tables on their pursuer, they rarely get used by a flag carrier who is hiding in the base. This is because there is only a single spawn point on the bottom level, and it is often a lot easier for the opponant to return a flag down there than on the second or third level.

    That isn't to say most new players won't use them for that purpose. But my usual method of 'camping' or 'hiding' with the flag involves sitting at the very top of the base, dropping and picking up the flag every 10 seconds or so between sniper shots. With so few players on each team it really becomes necesary for the flag carrier to participate in the effort to return his own team's flag. Otherwise they are losing 25-50% of their manpower.

    Not to be arguementative, but that has been my experience playing in 100 or so games. Though, I usually play with the same people so perhaps my experience is not varied enough.

    it looks very nice, and i like the columns in the middle and all the suspended walkways. as everyone else was saying, this is a great first post, but for future posts, try and put a line of spacing between all of your screenshots, it's not necessary, but it helps. anyway, this looks great, and i can't wait to see more from you.

    Thank you very much everyone. I like the positive vibe of this forum. I will definately post more in the future. I will go and edit my original post to put a space between the images as well.

    I have now uploaded a newer version of CTF Pro - Found. It is version 1.2, and in this version I have corrected many pathing issues caused by raised or uneven platforms using the interlocking objects technique I learned on this forum.

    The weapon placements have been changed slightly to increase the variety of encounters.

    The shortcut jump into the center 'sniper fort' is now smoother to operate.

    Starting points added to CTF to create balanced starts.

    Support for VIP, Territories, Oddball, King of the Hill, and Assault has been added.

    Minor aesthetic adjustments as well.


    Thank you guys for providing an awesome learning environment so I could make this map the best it could be (hopefully)! Though I do hope to figure out how to balance it well for slayer in the future.

    Not to be argumentative, but the majority of times a guy with a flag/CQB weapon goes behind a shield door, there's always a huge standoff.

    Well, you've played on this map, not me. I guess I'll take your word for it.


    Those pillars and walkways provide the most eye-candy for me, however.
