I have encountered a problem in the crypt. If you have attempted to ghost merge downwards into the crypt, you might have noticed that the object goes up more than half way up again. This happens when you end the session and return. The object won't be merged the way you left it. Is there anyway to fix this? If so, please tell me with a pm or any other form of communication. Before After
You might be working with an OLN object, they return to the placement they were at every time you start a new round. If it is an OLN object, just save the game when it is where you want it, end it, open it up again, and bam, It should be there.
The teardop of the object cannot be outside the map geometry at any time. If it is, when you start a new round, the game will just push it out of the ground until the teardrop is back inside the geometry. I'd reccommend just flipping it over so the teardrop is on the highest side, not the side in the ground.
What stickman said, except for 1 thing. That only applies to the floor of the crypt. So basically, the teardrop can be anywhere, except for outside the floor of the crypt. It can be in the floor of the middle level, or the crypt walls, but not the floor.
Ding ding ding! This gui be right... I will just add, if you do try to merge say, a ramp, large, down and then save and quit, it will still be merged a tiny amount to prevent loss of grenades and whatnot. To solve your dilemma with that block, just flip the block upside down so the teardrop is facing up. That side of the block looks better anyways.
I am so happy some people here actually seem to know how this works now. The people above are absolutely correct, however other things can actually cause similar problems. Forging outside the normal area of sandbox, around the towers for example, objects have a tendency to move vertically from where they are placed and where they ultimately spawn. This is obvious because the teardrop will move up or down after the object is placed. Just do not get these confused.
