Im in the middle of making a map for the Asset: Convoy Gametype and I was wandering Where im meant to place checkpoints. Should I place them right near a VIP point or on the way to one? This may seem like a dumb question but I honestly am not sure Edit: Sorry I wasn't Wandering I was 'Wondering'
Checkpoints are basically blocked off teleporters that are used so people; when they reach that certain area, are able to go through instead of having to walk all the way there. It varies between different maps, it depends on the map size and difficulty really. Like for Desert Package, there used to be only 2 checkpoints instead of 3. When I saw how hard it was to get to the bridge, and how long of a walk it was, I place a checkpoint at the downed warthog location to make gameplay flow better. Just do what feels right. If more people release convoy style maps, I'll make a guide for it.
Yeah, I know what they are :L Ive looked over all the maps and ive started placing checkpoints on mine. I would say its going to end up being about the same size as Artic Dispatch. Once ive finished forging i'll make a few varients of the map, one with 2 checkpoints, one with 3 ect. and get some people to test it and see what works best =]
