I have decided to go back to Foundry, only this time not to create a map using complicated merge, but to bring back the most simplest style of forge. Depot Depot is a aesymmetrical map taking on a similar feel of the original Foundry layout with a twist. The entire layout has been organized like a maze of towering walls and boxes testing you of your instinct and skill. The weapons used on here are the same as you would find on foundry as well as they are placed in very similar locations so that way all players know where to look. There has been two bonus weapons added however, which include the flame thrower that is located in the back center and the needler that is located near the center Here are a few pics to help you get a feel for how the map looks in general The layout has proven to be as competitve as Foundry with Slayer/Team Slayer and complies with Team objective games Capture the Flag, King Of the Hill. click link to download DEPOT for testing
Sorry, wrong section for these problems. I'll give you tutorial on embedding pics: http://www.forgehub.com/forum/halo-forge-maps/18644-embed-screenshots-your-map-thread.html That should help you.
Guys only one person needs to tell the guy how to fix his pictures, any more posts explaining how to do so after me, will be considered spam. RAYZOR follow one of these tutorials posted and attempt to get your thread fix, if it isn't fixed by the time I get back on tomorrow, it will be locked.
It's odd, I looked at the pictures at first and thought I was looking at the default Foundry, but as I started looking at them I thought about how much more I like this better than the default Foundry. While it bears resemblance, this map looks more difficult to get across than Foundry, and personally the weapon layout appears to make more sense to me. From what I can see, there's not too much merging and personally I don't believe merging is a necessity to make a good map so I'm in no way bashing you at all. you got a DL outta me.
Great Map and all. Was pretty fun. But as for Agamer93, I think you should be enforcing the rule against the more widespread and frustrating problem of people POSTING ON MAPS BEFORE THEY ACTUALLY DOWNLOAD IT!!!!! ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY TYPE THAT THEY HAVEN'T EVEN DOWNLOADED IT YET. But all in all, nice job in keeping the normal feel of foundry.
Map Posting Rules [*]Threads must include at least one picture OR video that clearly demonstrates the map. [*]All pictures must be embedded. [*]Download links must lead to a posted map on the bungie forums, NOT your fileshare. [*]You must include at least a brief description of the map. [*]Thread titles must consist of the map name ONLY - no other symbols, comments or irregular formatting. Failure to post your map correctly will result in a topic lock after 1 hour in the absence of a fix. Direct quote from Rules Actually Agamer and MachM this guys thread shouldve been locked awhile ago going by the rules. Hes been around for over a year he should know how to post a map, sure this couldve been his first actual post but it says he joined oct 2008 which is a long time ago and he has had over a year to look at the map posting rules. so really there is no excuse when it comes down to it I am not trying to flame anyone. I am simply pointing out the rules and that the mods need to be more strict about them.
Darksoullll, I don't know if the pictures aren't working for you, but I can visually see the embedded screen shots in this thread, all of the required guidelines for posting a map have been met, and therefore, there is absolutely no reason why this thread should be locked. Rayzor deserves an actual constructive comment in this thread, because his thread has gone no were so far, and either has downloads. An actual comment based off game play would help him out greatly I am sure.
alright. yeah i figured after looking at the post times today and when the map was posted that he was actually good with the pictures. i guess i just came in too late. my bad
I played a game on this. It plays pretty well it just takes some getting used to. My big complaint though is that people get on top of the map using the rocket spawn with the rockets which I'm pretty sure they're not supposed to be able to do. Maybe box in the rocket spawn.
i appreciate the possitive feed back so far. Yes I know I had a few problems with the pictures. I have posted several maps on here before and all pictures came from Haloscreenshots.com, however, the site has not been accepting my pictures so I have gone about to now using photobucket. I hope to hear more feed back to help improve the layout or weapon locations soon, and if all goes well, i might give a shot at posting for guild testing
