BTW, in the trailer, that's not a MAC gun firing up at the Covenant Cruiser. That's an explosion from that Covenant Cruiser glassing the planet.

I think that the tower is a COMMs tower.

Good point, I was thinking that unless you held down the melee button, it would just be a regular melee. Maybe if you are holding down the B and assassinating, you won't appear on the radar and the guy you kill will not make any sounds? But if you knife him from the front?

I also edited the "what I picked up post"... there was a part in the article saying Reach will have all of Halo 3's old game modes, and possibly several new ones!

 

yea probably.i just hope that you can asasinate people regularily with a melee to the spine. besides...knife asasinations are meant to be only stealthy right? i can so see an 20G achievement for this.

Am I the only one who thinks that the BR and Carbine are going to return alongside the Deemer (DMR) and Needle Rifle? It would make sense because a huge flaw in Halo 3 was the lack of variety in mid range combat. It was always BR's with very little Carbine's. At least having more choices of a mid range weapon to pick up will add more diversity on the battlefield.

Also, here's hoping that the AR has a tighter spread and actually useful for mid mange fighting and not just close range. I hated AR starts because of the lack of Aim Assist for mid range and no center reference on the targeting reticule turning AR starts mostly into a charge/beatdown fest. Hopefully they fix that.

Also why hasn't anyone talked about the leaked pictures from November that showed us everything HUD, weps, etc... I just found out today about them....

I think that it would work well if you were crouching and holding the B button you would take out your knife, then just press the button when you get the chance to get behind someone and stab them with it instead of getting behind someone and holding the B button slowly because you would have to be waiting for like 5 seconds before performing the trick.

 

Everyone was talking about the pics for a long time. I think your a little late to that party. Basically all the threads got locked because the posting of the pics was illegal. Also, a lot of people thought the pics were fake. I disagreed and said that I felt they were real. Either way the game is going to kick ass!

 

I really hope the multiplayer stays true to the series. I don't know how well it will play if people have armor perks and stuff like that. It would turn into COD if they go to far, which is doubtful.

 

Halo Reach's multiplayer has full parity with Halo 3's

 

Everything is looking really good as of now, I just hope it doesn't turn into class style gameplay. It was talking alot about powerups and such.. ugh.

 

Hopefully the frame rate will significantly increase in Reach, because after buying my HDTV the frame rate blows on Halo 3. It feels like I'm robbo trippin and everything is slow as hell. That's pretty much all I would like and hope that get improved out of this game.
