Mlg Formation

    So this is my latest map I started a few days ago which will be entered in the MLG map pack 2. Its a 4v4 mlg map that will play slayer, oddball, and flag. The middle and side areas of the map are close to been finished so the main thing left to do is the bases and add so walls around the sides. Im really under pressure to get this map done before the 16th maybe by the 14th which gives me 2 days to test so any suggestions now would be appreciated.

    Please comment and tell me what you think of it so far and if anyone would like to offer their help with testing the map when its done that would be great.

    You need more height variation and pillar-like LOS blockers.
    What you have so far, however, looks very good. The pieces fit together very nicely and I like your use of items, they are unique. You made many ramps that make the present map flow nicely.

    Yer i defiantly agree about the height variation and pillar-like LOS blockers. if you look in some of the pictures you can see that theirs 8 half pillars of those triangle pieces. Their all meant to be high pillars but because their all from the same item I can only have 4 of the pillars on each side. Its the first real problem im having and I dont really know how to fix it.

    if you had to choose between the ones on the sides or the ones connecting top mid to the top sides what would you choose?

    This looks to be a great map so far, I like the middle a lot. a new MLG style map needed to be made and yours looks like it could be the best sandbox one yet

    The playable map date has postponed to the 18th. The map's middle is pretty unique; I like what I'm seeing so far. I think you'd need to fill in the corners with higher geometry elevation somehow.

    Great thats perfect. 2 more days to finish my map. With the corners do you mean where the bases should be or where the sides are?

    I think he means where the side bases would be located. Or at least the bases to the left and right of the spawn bases.

    Dont choose, make it so you have something else on top of them?

    Merge like some wall slits into it or columns or anything really, that could still make the triangle shape.. just because it has a hole through it, doesnt mean its still a good LoS, it just makes the LoS a very Very difficult shot to pull through it.

    I'd say you should replace the corner pillars on the sides with just regular double box pillars. Yes it would create a little corner on the ramp but I think that'd be nice for flow and to saw you corner things for the middle pillars.
