This looks like a solid map, I like a lot of the ideas you put into it. You really helped make it feel like a real Bungie map by putting some things in, such as marking where the vehicles spawn, and having a crashed vehicle on the outskirts. I also like how vehicles can get out but not in of the dome base area. I don't think it is perfect though, there is some work needed, It seems a bit empty and too spread out to me, but I haven't tried playing on it, so I don't really know how it plays out.
I agree with lemonyguy. It looks pretty fun to play on, and it alsoblooks nicely forged, but i would say that it looks too, seperated from the other side. Im not sure if thats what you wanted, but it looks too open. Bit, i havnt played it yet, so i dont know
yea we forgot to use a stacked map so we hit the object limit before we had added all the spawn and objective points. We had to compromise so it has the spawn points but we had to cut back on other structures so it didn't turn out as good as we had hoped however we may remake it using a OLN canvas at a later date but for what we could do this plays great.
This is a pretty good looking, solid map. The dome is really good looking, and the structures are well forged. The attacker's base looks a bit bland to me, and it looks far too seperated from the rest of the map. I think there could be more. I understand that you ran into the item limit because you forgot to use an OLN canvas though. Looking forward to a V2 using a stacked OLN canvas.
I agree its very well made. I like the dome base, very creative, esp with the gate and stuff. I like the wall idea, also creative. The way you make it official with the vehicle ground markings and stuff is also cool. The whole thing is pretty awesome. Except not much to the attackers base :/ oh well its still sick. I would DL but i sent my box in yesterday to get fixed.
Yes, the dome is very awesome, and it really sucks that you hit the item limit a v2 would be even better. Im gonna DL and play with my friends tomorow i think... Also i think that you might have started a new trend by marking the vehicle spawns
Questions:Can vehicles go around the walls? Can you jump up to the next level using the fins in picture 6? Was the Attactkers base influenced by Utah Mambo? Suggestions: Take out the stonehenge thingy. Tone down the shotgun structure. Take out the firing ranges. Add a more diverse pallet of weapons. Comments: I'll do a forge through later andd see if there is anything I missed. I can send you my version when I finish. Looks very nice and well forged.
@ Voidia Yes they can but we can fix that with more objects yes you can if you slide up them no it was more based on the sandtrap structures That would be nice if you could send me your version and maybe give some ideas for v2 once you have done that? If anyone else has and feedback please give it to me so I can improve the map.
I love the half walls used to form the Attacker's Mongoose spawn; It's such a minor, yet fulfilling detail that I couldn't help but comment on it. -=Moxus=-
i dl'd and played on the map for a bit, it's well forged, and the asthetics on the structures are nice (the pelican was cool) the vehicle spawns are a good idea (i'd like to use it if you don't mind ), as is the one-way vehicle wall... except it doesn't work, -you can go around it(i understand that you hit your limit) -you can easily go over it in a ghost -and a warthog going full speed at an angle can also go over it. also it's a bit empty, but i can imagine it would be alright for big team games. looking forward to a v2.
Map looks really good, but the attackers seem a little sparse on the weapons side, a good example of weapons vs. position, is High Ground, the attackers have a sniper, shotgun, rockets, (for the most part) and a bubble shield, the defenders have the advantage of hight. I haven't played it yet, (and I will) when I do, I will give you another post.
Thanks guys. Yea we understand the wall has it's problems but when we were playing it no-one thought to drive at an angle it was far to hectic so we thought it wasn't that big of a deal but yea it will be updated in v2. @ Darth Kitti yea we put the rockets closer to the dome because like Last Resort the attackers have more powerful vehicles therefore the defenders need more powerfull weapons to combat that. @SMP yea you can use the vehicle spawns idea hopefully we can start a new trend but could you plese help me get this or my other map Outpost Zeta more noticed because normally only about 15 people post and then my maps trail off and never get seen again
As many others have mensioned, forging looks pretty good, it's just emensly bare. If you ever are doing a map and realized you're not using a stacked OLN, start over. Really, it's a waste not to use one.
I like everything about this map apart from the main base, I suggest making it more symetrical with a new designed roof. everything else is amazing and well forged, well done
honestly the wall is a nice touch but not practical, as to stop people going around you need to build into the death zone and all the way around the dome just incase, but leave it as a nice touch everything else looks good but slightly spaced though, then again a vehicle needs space to move so well done
