no, im not asking how to merge, im asking how you merge. I only use ghost merging for geomerging, but for most non geomerging merges i use the old fashioned method of starting new rounds with the object not spawning. what do you do?
I interlock (starting new round with object not spawning) and then if there is something harder to do or I want to make it look a certain way then I ghost merge. I haven't ever geo-merged
I only interlock/geomerge if I feel its needed, otherwise it can just cause lag with larger parties. When I do geomerge its only ghost merging, I cant be bothered to merge any other way.
I use ghost merging for almost everything. It makes forging racetracks so much easier and faster to get a good clean track. You can line it up and space them to the limit without save and quitting 5 times. I don't see why people look down on ghost merging. Not using ghost merging to make a messier, bumpier map just to say you didn't use it is ignorant.
I usually will experiment with ghost merging a lot during the creation process, but still do use normal interlocking for the majority of slayer maps because it makes them really smooth, but on minigames or other harder maps to make for specific gametypes, ghost merging is essential for harder merges. But overall, interlocking is the way I use most frequently.
