Originally I had no intentions of creating a map for Forgery Aid's 1v1 competition, but after seeing a few other entries, the competitive side of me kicked in an d so Divergent was born. While maintaining a simple and easy to learn layout, there's one thing that I really like about Divergent as a whole. Something you'll notice if you ever end up playing this, is that the high ground, is not always the best place. Those of you who have played Prismer, Construct, so on, will notice "Well, the high ground is always the better place?" Not in this map, hence the name Divergent. I succesfully found a way (after hours of forging) to balance it so that the lines of sight coupled with the weapon placement makes it so that in some scenarios it pays off to lay low.

Divergent weapon list is as follows:

    • 5 Battle Rifles
    • 3 Carbines
    • 2 SMG's
    • 2 Pairs of Plasma Grenades
    • 1 Mauler

Haha I wonder who that guy is.... He seems to be good =)

I really enjoyed this map, it's a simple design and the flow of the map was decent. Definetely a good 1v1 experience.

Okay I see what you had a problem with:

[bungievid]103687775[/*bungievid] (Just remove the star I added that)

this is what it looks like:

Looks Good, I like the bridge. A Mix of 1v1 and MLG. Gameplay looks smooth and fools well. Hmmm. I Think this would be goood for 2v2. I dont know, I'll try it and see. Nice work Multi. I added this one to tick off Gunnergrunt.

This looks very interesting. By far some of the smoothest I've seen in a while. Very impressive, I can't wait to try it. By the way, does it play well for 3-person FFA? It seems like the perfect size for it.

This looks awesome for some nice BR battles in FFA and 1v1. I definitely will try to get a game on this later considering how smooth it is and I'd like to see how the LOS is across the map at the start and during respawns throughout the game. I'm hearing about that awkward spot people are talking about, but the map overall still looks extremely nice. Awesome work Multi!

No, sadly only 1v1's are, it's much too small for 4 players. Sorry.
No, but that's an idea. I could try adding another starting point, I'd definitely need to give that a try next time I'm on Halo.
Thanks, and yeah. I keep forgetting to fix that one spot, it's honestly not that awkward though :p

Awesome and interesting forging! I like the simple, yet imaginative design of it. Just wondering, how did you manage to get the walls in the floor so smooth?

    I didn't.

Lol, as much as it pains me to say, there's about two bumps in the ground, but for the most part, yes, it's smooth. How did I do it? Magic.

Haha, I see. Extremely well done anyway, I can´t get wall-floors smooth no matter what "magic" I use haha! :)
