I am creating a racetrack that has a jump(actually there will be 2 but that doesn't matter atm). The problem with the jump is that as soon as I drive off of it with the mongoose, the front starts to lift, making the landing very rough. I was wondering if there is a way to make it smoother on the jump.
what you need to do is make the end of the jump a bit steeper so the back wheels go up more to counteract the lifting of the front wheels. Invite me to ur forge or PM me if u still are confused
Yes, what he said can work. Otherwise, your best bet is to use grav lifts to stabilize the Mongoose on the jump.
I have no idea what the jump looks like or to what extent the natural balance of a mongoose is affecting it, so including a picture would be nice. In general I have found that landing with the back of a mongoose down is usually smoother, although this also depends on the angle of the landing section. Merging mancannons into the jump may also turn the front down, as I remember it doing with warthogs. Funny thing to note: UNSC vehicles land with the back first while covenant vehicles touch down with the front first. Edit: Remember people who are playing a racing map competitively should know how to handle a mongoose, including how to land it after an unfriendly jump. Just keep in mind that landing the jump is in the hands of the driver not the forger.
just make sure your ramp is smoothly merged.. you cant do much more than that.. besides, its guarranteed to be a bumpy landing no matter how perfect you make it, someone will always land sketchily eventually.
