Does anyone know of any good video editing software for mac? I'm not looking into adobe video suite or final cut because they are too expensive... I have around 300 bucks and am looking into using most of it on a hauppage hd pvr capture card, so I have around ~50 or less bucks to spend on software... anything with more options than imovie should be fine....

    thanks...

Vegas. But My favorite is adobe premier and adobe after effects. But if you want adobe their is a way to get it on a huge discount. If you are still in school. You can buy it and say it is for educational use. Give me a sec and I will find the link :) This is the Link HERE.
Its $549 But I am sure you can find just premier cheaper by its self.
Its normally $ 1,699 so it is a really good discount Good luck. Let me know if you need anything else

O and Premier by its self is HERE $349

I don't have the cash for those, I just need something that I can place clips in, trim them, add music, basic titles, etc... I will most likely have someone else edit for me... I just trim the clips, etc... (and Imovie just doesn't do what I need it to)

You aren't going to get anything for $50. It's as simple as that. You'd be better off saving up for a decent editing program than throwing what cash you have into something you'll outgrow.

Which is even worse than imovie, I have experience with both, I actually have had vegas on an old computer... illegaly, but w/e...
I now use a mac and I just need to trim clips, and I don't want to spend too much. I might just have to buy a pinnacle product
EDIT: I saw your post X5, I'll probably just settle with Imovie and begin saving up for a while then...

^^ He is right. Mean Most editing software is $1,000 of dollars. I mean People who at this point in their lives who get these want to be professional editors. Unless you want to be that don't buy the good stuff. Just go find something for cheap and do what you need to use it for. :)

Like i said earlier, I will probably find a willing and dedicated editor on machinima.com to edit for me or something... After all, the important part about machinima and that kind of stuff is who you know.
Thanks for your attempt to help me, lol.

Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9.0 is only $85. It's not quite as advanced as Sony Vegas Pro 9.0, but it gets the job done. I've used it quite a bit and it works for machinimas, montages, and random little clips.

Camtasia Studio is $300 and does relatively basic editing, but you can edit clips together and adjust audio, etc. It can also come in handy because you can record your computer screen.

It works for me because I never do much complicated video editing, but I'm not sure if it suits your interest.
