I have been working on thsi for a week now and I'm ready to show everyone a preview. This map will support up to 12 people and will be best played with battlesnipes or rocket race. Overview - front Overview - back First turn - also shows what I was talking about in this thread The pits The bridge - a nice observation point You need to watch out when jumping as vehicles fall. I hope you like it. It should be finished by the end of the week.
The banking idea looks interesting, however at each end of the banked area there is that bump. I suggest continuing the banking across the entire part by the spawns, and making it transition from the regular track to tha banking better. Not the cleanest race map I have seen, but it still looks good.
Looks great man! Can't wait to try Battle Snipes on this. Update us with some more pics and information. I like the fact that it's a suicide figure eight. Very original. I just hope the jumps are smooth to keep the game play competitive.
I'll setup a testing session for possibly Saturday or Sunday. Look out for this map on the testers guild if you want to test/play on this map.
I can't really tell cos of the perspective of the shots, but are the top and bottom portion of the track even or is the top part smaller than the bottom? That aside, this looks like mad fun.
the part with the pit is much larger. the back is smaller. I have made some major changes to the second jump (the jump coming back to the checkpoint). That jump now works perfectly every time. I have also added some more asthectics. I will continue to improve though until Saturday.
Excuse this, but what's the difference between battletracks and racetracks? Is it X2 people per team on battletracks, with one shooting? Sorry to post this here, but on topic, this looks genuinely brilliant, you can bank on a DL from me.
Battletracks is all about being fast and offensive. If someone is catching up to you, you shoot at them, crash into them, push them off the edge, do anything to slow them down. Battletrack courses usually have wider tracks than regular racetracks. Racetracks are just meant for straight up racing. Speed and maneuverability is the key to winning.
