Recently I DLed Google sketch up so I could design maps before I forged as I often make begin without any direction and sort of fizzle out. I have seen designs and every object is perfect, consistent and to scale. Yet in my experience with the program each object needs to be individually drawn and created in the proper place. Is there like a template for Sandbox objects someone has made? Or is there something I'm missing here. I would love to design sandbox maps but don't know how to sue sketch up to do so.
go into the 3D warehouse and type in Sandbox, halo, forge stuff like that and it will come with a list of different models you can use. Choose the one that looks the best or is rated the best. just had a go -> type in sandbox forge objects in the 3D warehouse search.
Or you could do what everyone else does and use this. http://www.forgehub.com/forum/halo-forge-discussion/58558-ultimate-sketchup-template-compilation.html
Here's the template I use. Has all the sandbox objects plus all the foundry objects. Along with that it has spawn points, vehicles, Spartan models, and ish. MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service
