    Welcome my friends to a semi long awaited map, Descended Vale. I had theorized this map pre Schism of Light but i have to say the Hollow by (Urban Myth) and Schism by (Given to Fly) have inspired this map as you will soon see.

    This map has been a real painstaking process, but thanks to help from Rifte Gifle, Nick the Ratman, and RC (Reining Chaos) i have gotten it down and made a dam good conquest map (or so the testers said). The spawns, as Nick will tell you took for ****ing ever (pardon my American), but finally they are prefect. Well enough of my blabbering now to some pictures so hopefully you will download this map.

    Edit: Holy **** haha i knew i forgot someone important, Master Debayter, of course my good friend you get recognition. And yes the red spawns are 100 % now, well at least for the like 10 games we ran they worked.

    You forgot the most important tester of all (me).

    Did you fix the spawning for the red team? I like the little changes you made to it, and I'll be sure to download it and give my feedback on this.

    I can honestly say this is my favorite conquest map to date, aesthetically and gameplay wise, the waterfall actually influences the map greatly since its a great place to recharge sheilds. I have to give this a 5/5 great job cap'n.

    i love this map. Definetly one of the best conquest if not the best conquest map to date. its beautiful to look at, and has amazing gamplay. though it is incredibly hard to get passed the middle territory, it doesnt decrease the gamplay. The middle is just what a middle in conquest should be like. Its big with alot of cover, and a win waterfall....

    Great! It's been released now. This looks better than The Hollow for its aesthetics. The lighting's pretty cool too, the color scheme is unique. I'll dl and play a game on it as soon as I can.

    I do like it better than Hollow, and most Conquest cave maps Ive seen. I like the middle territory the most.

    Yeah the middle territory is a true testament to conquest, It is large enough to make it the breaking point of the map, but has enough cover to make it a fun place to be.

    Alright, I finally got a few nice games on this map, so here's my basic review:

    First off, amazing job. It's the most cavernous cave yet, and by far one of my favorite conquest maps.

    The spawns and bases are perfect, and the following territories are great as well. One of my favorite things about the map are the 2 colored columns, placed in different locations. Although they're not all that impressive in general, The look very natural and signify which team is which without tons of bright lights and stuff.

    And of course, your amazing middle territory. I'll break it down piece by piece:

    The Waterfall: This is my favorite part of the whole map. It not only looks amazing and natural, but the bottom of it provides ample cover too. The only problem I found was that you could actually brute-shot jump into the waterfall, and camp up there. It won't gain you much, though since a couple of grenades tossed in there are plenty to flush out any campers.

    The Grass Center: Again, amazing job. The center block looks great, and while it can easily be shot-over, it provides some cover when you crouch.

    The Brute-Shot Spawn: That whole area seems ingenious to me. A seperate, well-covered area of the map that isn't part of the center territory. Ingenious. Not only that, but I've never seen a neutral weapon in conquest before, but this one works to perfection.

    Fantastic job overall man, I love every bit of this map.

    Thanks for the review, im glad someone found how good the map is. Yeah the colored pillars were a last minute addition. I wish the the red side was more attractive but alas it wouldn't work any other way. Anyway this was my first conquest map but i plan more along with some good asset maps so get ready.

    The waterfall is very creative, but this whole map seems like a complete robbery of 'Schism of Light'.

    When you first showed me this, I was blown away by the aesthetics. The waterfall is my favorite how you made it so if someone does get up there they cant contest the area and it is practically a death trap.

    True i see what your saying but this map was started before Schism in all honesty it was just really a great inconvenience. But really if your judging but just the pictures then their is really only one similarity. That being the starting spawns. I didn't base this map solely around the lights or else the whole thing would have had lights. Like the Hollow, this map is purely original and if you still don't believe me you can ask Given, he has played this map and saw it in its production stage.

    @ Anthrax thanks mate, yeah i put alot of time into this. This was the longest and hardest map i have ever made. We need to play some games some time so you can see how fun it is. =)

    Only one criticism. It looks more like a waterfall when using shield doors if you make sure there the sides of the shield doors are used as the aesthetic, which means overlap. See my map The Wild to clarify anything:

    I used a cannon man to simulate water falling and a blue light behind the walls to add to the effect, but I think you could improve the aesthetics greatly just with this one change- adding one more shield door half of the way up or down to make the water the same consistency.

    I realize this is nit picking, so I want to congratulate you, and for the record the temple looks incredible. My only other concern is the flag placement, which is not really a big deal by any means. I need to clear up space, but I will be sure to download as I love conquest. Hopefully the gameplay matches the forging quality!

    My god... if I didn't know that was sandbox I wouldn't believe someone if they told me! That is amazing use of scenery, astounding aesthetics for an insanely natural look, I just got transported to a dark cave in the bowels of The Ark. 500 Kudos to you for your frakin' awesome work!
