DOWNLOAD This map is called Flying Fortress. It's design for Team Slayer. However, I'm currently working on a CTF version. The idea came from seeing other maps similar in idea, a flying castle. So I started to create and put my own twist to it. The map consists of a Flying base with multiple levels and large ground structures on either side. Flying Fortress: The Fortress doesn't actually touch the ground, but it is accessible by the rock structures located close to it. The flying fortress consists of Rock Foundation, Defense/Teleporter rooms, Main Fortress Floor/Upper Courtyard, 2nd Fortress Floor/Hallway Roofs and Fortress Roof. Rock Foundation: The rock foundation is playable and allows access to the defense/teleporter rooms. It is accessible by the rock formations on the ground and the defense rooms. Defense/Teleporter Rooms: The rooms located in the rock base are opposite and adjacent from each other. They are used as defensive structures and are connected by stairs to there own teleporter rooms. All teleporters on the map are two-way. The lower teleporter rooms connect with the inside rooms of the Fortress on the main level. The rooms are designed with large windows and slitted walls for defense in multiple directions. Main Fortress/Upper courtyard: The main fortress floor has two rooms and a hallway that connects them and the outside courtyard. The rooms are located opposite of another and each have a teleporter to the defense/Teleporter rooms, also slitted walls which provide a view and attack ability of the upper courtyard, ground floor and sky. There are two blocks on opposite sides of the upper court yard that allows access to the 2nd Fortress Floor /Hallway roofs. On the opposite side of the block and hallway are teleporter nooks. These nooks provide access to the ground floor of which ever side they are on. The upper court yard has battlements and columns for cover. 2nd Fortress Floor/Hallway roofs: The the 2nd floor is accessible by the hallway roofs on eith side of the room. The hallway roofs are slitted and provide a view of the inner hallway. The hallway roofs each have 2 large columns and in 1 of each hallway roofs columns there is a jump block to the fortress roof. The hallway roofs also provide access to the teleporter nook roofs. The 2nd fortress floor is one large room with slitted walls on all sides. The ceiling is cathedral as well. Fortress Roof: The fortress roof is accessible by the hallway roofs on each side of it. There is a walkway going around the entire outside of the roof. Ground Floor: The ground floor has to bases consisting of multiple rock formations. They are the same in design and are where all the teams, weapons, equipment, and vehicles spawn. Each base has 1 teleporter that accesses the Fortress upper courtyard teleporter nook on its corresponding side. Weapons/Equipment & Vehicles: 8 Battle rifles 2 Sniper rifles 2 Spartan Lasers 8 Grenades 2 Bubble Shields 1 Active Camo 2 Ghosts 2 Banshees All Players Start with Battle Rifle and Shotgun Pictures Other maps: EYE OF RA
Have you played it? And your teleporter statement is COMPLETELY wrong. Making wild statements like that is ridiculous...teleporters, mancannons, and all things like that have a place in mapmaking...finding what fits the right place is the trick.
to be honest i love the look of this map, i'd suggest making it more infection-friendly though. as it would make sense and i feel that would win a d/l from me (as thats a great prize...) but great aesthetics alone are great so 8/10 for that... gameplay... i wouldnt know but FFA sounds interesting, what with people either being inside OR outside, and the outside being a bad not so uber place... would FFA with 2 banshees and 2 ghosts and 2 splazers not be a slight overpowering game? especially with it being small (the cover from them that is...the castle)
Crazy awesome aesthetics. However, if you want to make if more effective for competitive play, I suggest adding more weapons than snipers, lasers, and BRs. Although everyone loves BRs, it's good to have a little variety, even if nobody uses the other weapons (since there'll always be people like me who will grab the plasma rifle over the BR just for fun).
