This map is a simple cage-like room along with various weapons falling into it every now and then, along with ghosts. This is aimed at a team slayer game pitting two teams against each other in a small enclosed environment. This map is for good laughs and fun as ghosts also drop (not that you'd get the chance to use them much due to the high kill and death rate) along with the occasional fusion coil to make it a bit more risky to dive in for the weapons. Whilst not exactly the best forge in the world, its really just a quick piece i threw together inspired by other similar maps iv had the pleasure to experience to create a fun team slayer shootout that will thrill and probably annoy people who play it. I have also uploaded the game to go with it called, The Factor. Why using the ghost should be avoided. Patients is a virtue when going to grab the weapons. The game begins with the weapon-drop. And now for the download links if my images and description have you drooling enough! Welcome to forgehub! Looks basic not anything special. Clean up forging and add ascetics and I might consider it for DL. Also looks easy to break. Use Ghost Merging to make it look nicer.
Ummm. You cannot really just post a thread and say- "I will put the requirements up later" because they are required or the thread will be locked or deleted. I don't have the link to the guide for posting pictures, etc... sorry . . . but welcome to Forgeghub
1.)Welcome to Forge Hub! 2.)If you want to post pics, got to Photobucket.com 3.)Don't forget to post up Action Shots! =)
Personally, I agree with him. It's basically the same as all the other tiny maps, except with weapons, ghosts and fusioun coils falling in. I think that if you make the walls about two double boxes high, therefore making it inescapable, and use interlocking to make it smooth, it would turn out much better. Also, I think you should put it on sandbox so you can add in some awesome aesthetics. Oh, and welcome to Forgehub!
You may have a problem with people getting out of the map. The surrounding walls are not high enough and people could easily jump off of someone's head or off a Ghost, or even grenade jump. You should add at least one level higher to the wall.
I could make this in about 10 minutes. All i can say is welcome, and check forging 101 on how to improve your map.
No offence, 1Shawn1, but can you read? I'v already stated it's just a quick forged map. Thanks for the feedback guys, i'll work on a version 2 very soon.
Does it matter? As for the map...I think you could do well trying to choose one map area instead of two at once. For instance, minigame maps are maps that use gameplay that's nothing like the norm (like players that are sitting in moving open crates and the zombies have to shoot the swings until they fall off to kill them, a la Swings). Competitive maps are your regular Assault Rifle/Battle Rifle gameplay, one team tries to kill the other team, usually. While there's some room for overlap, I think you'd do well to choose what you're most interested in, head to the Featured section, and see what makes a good minigame or good competitive map. Learn that, and you may be on the fast track to making a Featured map yourself
