Mini-Mombasa Download link: Bungie.net : Halo 3 File Details Hello, everyone! This is probably my best aesthetic map to date. Everyone knows about New Mombasa from Halo 3: ODST. Everyone will say, "Oh this is boring, New Mombasa maps have been made before." Maybe, but have they ever built the whole city? This New Mombasa remake is tiny. If it was full size, it would take up about 500 Sandboxes and millions of objects, which we don't have. Just to clear things up, the map is NOT PLAYABLE. This map features everything in New Mombasa during Halo 3: ODST. This map has the New Mombasa Space Tether, which can be destroyed by a locked-down Gauss Warthog. In the game, part of the Space Tether didn't collapse. Same with mine. The lower section does not collapse. There is also an Uplift Reserve, a Coastal Highway, Several Skyscrapers, dozens of smaller buildings, an ONI Alpha Site, a Data Hive in the Crypt, the secret Forerunner section of Data Hive you can only see after the credits on Legendary, a nice spawn point, two Covenant Cruisers (Banshee) to attack the city, and my personal favorite, a Covenant Carrier. All of these are tiny. The city itself is backing onto the largest sand dune of Sandbox. If you're wondering what the Spike Grenades are for, they are radio antennae for the buildings. I know I told everyone that I was going to post a mech for Forgehub for Christmas, but I wasn't able to finish on time. However, I was able to finish this before Christmas. So here you go, merry Christmas! Roll the pics! New Mombasa and the staggering heights of the Space Tether. The nice spawn area with an armory for fun stuff, and the two Covenant Cruisers. The base of the Space Tether. Look! The elevator! Incoming! Uplift Reserve looks empty... City center close-up. ONI Alpha Site, surrounded by a wall and the Coastal Highway. Coastal Highway, with a Covenant Cruiser overhead. entrance to the Data Hive. Vergil's Data Center. At the right, you can see the Control center where Dare and the Rookie planned their attack on the Drone hive. At the left, you can see the entrance to the Forerunner section. Above is the shaft that leads to the Data Center. The Forerunner section. The teleporter leads to the spawn area. And now... the Covenant Carrier! The spawn area's armory has weapons to destroy the Covenant Carrier, and to save the Master Chief the trouble of following it to Delta Halo! lolz Thanks to all people that gave me suggestions, from the people in the preview forum, to friends on Xbox Live! Wow this is pretty cool, definitely unique. I tried it out and its really detailed. I esp. like when your flying over the mini mombassa with the banshee. It actually gives you the feel of being a big covanant cruiser. Great job.
dude all i hav to say...is wow! u pulled this off with lots of detail..i definatly like the space elevator...and u managed to squeeze data hive in there....it iz an awesome map...that shows detail of the city of new mombasa...well done 5/5
Why do people rate before they play it Ok you have pulled of some unquie forging designs from ODST, one thing you have got me on tho, you must of taken quite alot of gues on the city because there is no way you can get an on top veiw of new Mombasa. You have done a good job i might download and rate latter
1. You can't really properly play on an aesthetic map. 2. How can you presume he hasn't played it yet?
Wow great remake i really like it , Your building are nicely done and your data hive are great to ! The big tower are cool to . But its very sad because we cant play on it .

OK, the detail on this is ridiculous. This must have taken ages. Love the way you managed to fit in most of the campaign levels. Just need an FX and red light to make it night time, too. Definetlely gonna DL, if only to fly over it and feel huge XD. Shame you couldn't fit in the NMPD HQ level, few cranes and such like. But a good 8 or 9/10 for sheer aesthetic insanity. Also, what's the forerunner section? I've never noticed it in the level before.
I wouldn't at all call it accurate, but it looks pretty sweet. I can see a few things missing right off the bat like the highway at the end. But this is a pretty sweet mini remake of New Mombasa and your budget was pretty tight too. Probably one of the best remakes of New Mombasa I've seen.
Ok, these are answers to three people. David250: I was able to get an overview of the city by carefully and quickly sketching it during the cutscene Prepare To Drop an the cutscene at the end of Coastal Highway. Sin Of Rage: If you beat Coastal Highway on Legendary and watch to the end of the credits, you can see it. The Prophet of Truth comes down the Data Center's shaft with three engineers, and looks behind Vergil's Data Center, and looks upon A long tunnel with Forerunner bars across. Ac3Snip3r: Coastal highway is there, it's that sipderweb-shaped thing that goes around Alpha site and across the suspension bridge in Uplift Reserve. It's metioned in the main description, and is shown in two of the Screenshots, so I don't know how how you missed it. I watched it during Prepare To Drop, so I know it's shaped like that.
This map is incredeble nice forged, I realy enjoyed playing on it. Everything is well forged, and I like the huge amounts of details. Also did I like to destroy the space elevator with banshees, wich was a lot more fun than the gaus cannon.

This is random, but I think I can say this because it's my map. If you go into the Skybubble with some friends, fire a bunch of rockets down to the city below, it looks like a bunch of HEV pods dropping down into the city, screenshot coming soon!
I really like the detail put into this. This is also very unique and interesting to jump around on, it's like your Godzilla in New Mombasa LOL. Nice job Plasma Rifle Elite, another awesome ascetic map.
