Battlefield 224 By Digital Kill3r (my GT) Enter the Battlefield in my new map Battlefield 224 This map was inspired by the famous Battlefield series which is known for its fast paced and chaotic action. This map features 4 Warthogs (2 on each side), 2 Mongooses (1 on each side), and 2 Banshees (1 on each side). To even it out, both sides have a variety of weapons in and out of their base. I garentee you that there are a bunch of weapons. Works for every gametype, but best played in team based games. Pretty much what Standoff should've been, but wasn't. Change this threads title to "Battlefield 224." Take out the stuff in the brackets. Other than that, it's 2142(if the title was a reference to the Battlefield Game), and the map looks absolutely boring, sorry, but it seems like a reorganization of Standoff.
Ok first off buddy I dont care if its 2142 I put 224 cuz it sounds cool. Second, it aint borin cuz I just got tested it out with a couple of buddies and we had a blast. Third, if it seems borin to you than dont post.
You know, I think he was just trying to give some advice. To me, it does seem a bit boring. Try to use more scenery to create a more unique map. I think that's what sets apart well-made maps from great maps.
The guy who first posted wasn't trying to offend you. He just offered you some advice to help you when forging maps. Your map is basically stand off with more vehicles and a bunch of weapons in the bases. There is nothing wrong with that. But if you post a map on a website that is visited by many people on a daily basis, be prepared to take constructive criticism.
Wow this map is absolutely boring, ive played it, and try not to scare off posters (there what keeps your thread alive! ) and third of all, are you sure they didnt say tht becuase they were your buddies?
i think standoff is fine as it is. and yea...nothing really interesting here..sorry, man, but simply adding more weapons and vehicles doesn't do anything for me. maybe add some action shots to show the fun? right now it just looks...blah
Good maps are not just re-equipping old ones but changing the game play adding scenery that changes the flow of the level or changes the form of the battle. If game play doesn't really change from the matchmaking version than it needs to be reworked.
You know, simple, reorganized, focused maps like this are fine in my opinion, as long as they're neat. I think I'll check this out once my 'box is fixed.

No need to get so defensive Mr.ignorant.Maybe perhaps your map IS boring?Just maybe you don't have to play it to know that a reorganization of a bad map is boring .Maybe it's NOT the best forged map ever.Just maybe... p.s-either your friends are just saying this to please you and not get you pissed (because you obviously cant take criticism ) or they really enjoy standoff...
