Hey guys, made this map way back in May '09, and now that I'm a member of ForgeHub, I thought I might share it with you guys. Atrium has a background, being that this used to be a forerunner structure or a type of annex where they could go back and forth to wherever they needed to go. It contains grassy areas, and indoor areas with a bit of ambient light. The original had a killball in it, but I decided to remove that before I posted this because it was honestly too bright to be comfortable with. Well, this was my first aesthetic map so, criticism would be great if possible. Some pics... A grassy view. A top down view. A view of one red room. A view of one blue room. I know it's not all great but hey, you know, I just felt like posting it. Download Link:Bungie.net : Halo 3 File Details
Thanks, yeah, I know it's a bit small, it was really just an experiment rather than a full fledged asthetic. But thanks anyway, if you have any ideas to what I can put in it that'd be awesome.
You should merge the fins into the floor. It helps just create room and whatnot. Also, with so much budget left, you could make the map quite a bit bigger. This is almost too small for 1v1. It could use some work, but it looks ok so far. Welcome to Forgehub, by the way.
It looks rather inviting. However, I have a few suggestions. If it is going to be a true atrium, you should add walls around the side of it. They give off a feel of different extremities. Also, add a curving roof connecting all those walls. Sadly, I do not Download any Aesthetic maps except Houses you you don't have me. I would if I had space however. Keep going, add some more and call it a V2.
Awesome, This will go great with Team Swords. I think it needs railing and about 5x as much space. I'll Still Download.
Ok, sounds good guys, only thing is, its a tessalation of blocks, so it has to be symmetrical, so I don't know the maximum space available. Plus I suck at roofs, so yeah. But hey, I'll give it a go. *EDIT* I checked and I cannot increase the size any more, but I made it branch off into two watchtowers and soon to be two bases. This will be really good for doubles. Sadly, that's all it will be. It has a small sized centerpiece, and two branches that have about the same total floor space, maybe more when I'm done with it. Cannot wait to post and see what you guys think.
This looks like a great symmetrical map. You could build a path that completely surrounds the map, giving it some much needed space. If not, at least add railings to the grassy areas; they look too choppy to be in an aesthetic map.
