    Temperum

"The first of it's kind and a whole lot of fun!"

Updated as of September 5th, 2009. If you have downloaded the gametype & map before that, please update it.

    Gametype: Breakdown
    Map: Temperum

After many hours of working and constantly changing and tweaking the layout until I found one that was just right, I have finally perfected it. I present to you....Temperum!:

The point of the game, like any other infection map, is to survive. That or you can kill the person that has been constantly shooting at you for the whole game.

    History

The history behind this is pretty simple. I was thinking about ideas and thought about how Halo 3 did not really require cover as you could just go charging in and almost always win. I decided to do the opposite and change the pace a little, therefore Temperum was born. It is a fast paced game with tons of great moments and tons of fun! The name "Temperum" is a combination of the words "tantrum" and "temperature".

The only way to kill the zombie is to get the custom powerup which will give you infinite health and instant kill, located right in front of the zombie's prowler. Not to worry, though, there are tons of things to help you along the way. If you decide to camp inside the spawn area, a killball will quickly serve you justice.

To give time for the zombie to get into the prowler, you have 10 seconds to prepare.

    The zombie's prowler

The zombie spawns in a small box where there only escape is getting into a prowler turret. There, they must stop the humans from killing them. A lone teleporter stops them from escaping and leads them back into the box.

    Action Shots!

    Watch out for fusion coils!

    Under heavy fire!

    Didn't see it coming

Flares can blind both the infected and the humans

    So...close!

Thanks to anyone who contributed in any way by helping me forge, tweak, test, and giving me the motivation to keep going! Please rate, comment, and download!!

Its not quite the first of its kind, but i like the prowler turret thing, THAT is origional but there are many "run to the power up" games. And it seems the powerup is incredibly hard to get to, once you get that close he cant miss surely?

the only thing i wonder that you didnt describe is do the humans have shields? Because if they do it seems like it would be very hard to kill them with a prowler turret

You probably haven't used a prowler turret in a while. It shoots extremely fast, I'm pretty sure faster than any other covenant weapons. And there are no shields, it is only a few shots to kill for the prowler. Please play the game before posting something you are not sure is true or not.

Rewib's comment was very valid. he shouldn't have to play the game, you should tell us EVERYTHING to help us decide whether or not we should download it! Personally, I would like to know the human traits and starting weapons and what the custom powerup does???

Human traits are normal, the only changes are 150% gravity, 0% damage, 50% health, no shields (explained in above post), and they spawn with a magnum. I'm pretty sure I covered all of it.

And I already explained what the custom powerup does. You use it to kill the zombie. You can't do it with no damage so the custom powerup gives you instant kill and infinite health.

Unless you chuck a Flare or Bubble Shield. That may have some damper on the Turret...

Yea, that usually works unless the infected already has a lock on the person.

Updated the gametype and map, mostly just balancing. Please update it when you get the chance.

Even though it only looks like a bunch of random objects, the gameplay is amazing! I cannot believe how good it was. There was a time when it glitched out and the gravity lift wasn't destroyed, though, but you put killballs+time limit so that's awesome.

This map is free, guys! No charge! Definite download+4.95/5

Well, it kind of depends on the situation. If 2 people are playing on the map (1 zombie, 1 human), of course your statement would be true. But if you had, say, 6 or 7 people, if the humans all rushed the zombie at once with multiple power-ups, then surely someone would get by.

Actually, it works both ways. Everytime I go, unless at least 12 people rush me at once (without powerups) I can easily get them all. I've done a lot of constant tweaking. If you are any good at operating a turret, you'll easily kill everyone. Why do you think I put a deployable cover, bubble shield, and flare?

    Please refer to above.

I wasn't saying I didn't like your map. 4/5 from me. Also, I know why you posted the deployable cover, bubble shield, and flare. Its so people can reach the zombie!:p

If you still want to prove that rush-theory, It would be awesome to play this map with you. Just add "GeassBandit".

Um, just wondering, but I've never seen anyone charge for a map ever, and it seems it'd be rather pointless to do so since it could be so easily spread via someone elses file share.
