It will be.. the coil is going to be in a gap in the wall protected by a shield door so bullets and melee wont destroy it (^Thats mainly so people who play as brutes for the first time on the map wont run upto it and blow it up for the sake of it... we all know what happens on the pit LOL) And honestly... I have no idea when it'll be done.. I can sure as hell tell you its the longest project ive done yet.. I've already put 17 hours into it (approximately anyway) and I haven't even finished half of it
I've got to say.. that whole switch idea is awesome. I was really surprised to see how well that worked. Where are the enemies going to spawn though? I feel like the outside of the building was very campable. You only gave us a glimpse of that area though so you might still be working on that.
Looks great and one quick suggestion: I really suggest using the hornet instead of some random hill, it is much more dramatic and feels kind of like a cutscene. Also, you may want to make the hill very far away. Or you could go with the theme of your map and have it involve the reactor...like maybe go up the reactor and find a helipad.
Thanks, I feel its working very well too.. theres a few really minor problems though, like when running through the doorway, the grav lift occasionally picks you up slightly, also the doorway may be opened simply by destroying the gravlift in the bottom of the core, so ill need more shield doors down there, which means more budget used Aye, the staircase is nowhere near done yet.. All that is going to be enclosed... and the only entrance to it is through the core (unless your the brutes where you'll be teleported to two drop in holes right at the back near the safe room) The brutes will spawn in the sandbox or crypt i think.. they can get kitted out there and then move off into teleporters to their desired locations. Rather than just being assigned a class, i think it will be more strategic for the brutes to choose what they want to be. All but the chieftan one will work. This teleporter will be blocked until just before the lights come on so it can get reallllyy epic before the doorway opens I know what you mean, initially i wanted a nice 3 story high building with an escape tunnel to a new building with the goto point in here. After re-imagining with the budget, i thought of removing the top floor, expanding the second floor into a landing pad (for brutes) and having the brutes get banshees to fly to the location. Again, now i think im crippled with budget, i think its gonna just have to be a really small gotopoint inside the safe room. If i have budget left afterwards, i may make it a drop down after the door is open so the ODSTs drop down into a hangar with a hornet and fly to the go-to-point. If the banshees are still a go, this could provide a good aerial battle escape at the end
