While listening to the song Crespuscolo by Marcus Schossow & Thomas Sagstad, i came up with a pretty unique layout for my next map. Every thing was going well until I unfortunately came across the dreaded limit which states, " Cannont create item. To many items on map " i know I'm not the only one who hates this limit for it prevents all of us from full filling our potentials. Most of the asethetics I had on the original layout were outstanding but had to be removed in order to complete the layout all the way around making sure that there were no flaws for people who like to ruin a map by jumping out. With this in mind, I created several map variations and so far this is the first to be tested. from a birds eye view you can see that this map is symetrical, both bases can be accessed from two ends as well as from a calculated grenade jump onto the sniper balcony The design of this map was focused on Free For All game play as well as Team Slayer. The reason for not having objective, is because of the proper amount of space. Both bases are identical, each having a way to access the center and two sides. from the point of view in the picture above you can see the red base center balcony that extends out leading towards the center. On top of each balcony are two weapons Battle Rifle ( 2 spare clips ): spawns in 30 seconds Carbine ( 2 spare clips ): spawns in 30 seconds Below each Balony are Assault Rifle ( 2 spare clips ): spawns in 30 seconds S.M.G ( 2 spare clips ): spawns in 30 seconds ________________________________________________________________________ Behind the picture above is the ramp leading up to the sniper balcony that views out to the opposite side The red side of the map has all of the following: Sniper ( one spare clip ): spawns in 1 minute Sword: spawns in 3 minutes Battle Rifle ( 2 spare clips ): spawns in 30 seconds Carbine ( 2 spare clips ): spawns in 30 seconds Brute Shot ( 2 spare clips ): spawns in 2 minutes Equipment: Overshield: spawns in 3 minutes Power Drain: spawns in 2 minutes ______________________________________________________________________ Blue side has: Sniper ( 1 spare clip ): spawns in 1 minute Plasma Rifle: spawns in 30 seconds Gravity Hammer: spawns in 3 minutes S.M.G ( 2 spare clips ): spawns in 30 seconds the original concept of this layout was primally focused on the center, with one particular detail that i hated to remove but had to in order to add the extra walls around the border ________________________________________________________________________ removing the roof wasn't all that bad, not the way i wanted it but it does make the map feel much larger in a way though the base weapons are Rocket Launcher ( no spare clips ): spawns in 3 minutes Shot Gun ( 1 spare clip ): spawns in 3 minutes Needler ( 2 spare clips ): spawns in 2 minutes Equipment Regenerator ( red side ): spawns in 2 minutes Bubble Shield ( blue side ): spawns in 2 minutes All together, the maps game play is very fast and fun. Hate to tell you but none of your screenshots are showing. Are you using an image hosting site? edit: that definately looks better than little red x's on the screen. that actually looks really good period. This really looks more like a competitive map than a casual map however
Pics aren't working. Don't use Haloscreenshots, it never works. There are some tutorials to embedding pics floating around, but I'm too lazy to get a link. The map sounds pretty interesting, I'd love to see some pics. Well Haloscreenshots.net is still currently down due to storage capacity so that may be the problem. If you already entered your GT your screen shots should still be there though
