If i ever get a nuke (which i have) i usually spend the rest of the match killing then with like 1 min left or less i use it lol. That way i get that much more exp. People who get the nuke then just use it right away piss me off. They ruin the match for everyone else, also they could have got more exp. Idk though i feel like the nuke is cheap. They should have something that can counter it. Say another 25 killstreak reward like just counter nuke, where a satelite lazer blows it up. (if you think that un realisitc, its not the US has a satelite lazer defense system, just not that many are up their yet).
The smart thing to do, as mentioned, would be: once you get the nuke, keep playing. Right before the game ends ( Assuming you are paying attention to the score and time ) use the nuke. I heard it gives you a ton of experience after you use it. I don't think I will ever get the nuke. The closest I have ever gotton to it was 21-0 and I didn't even have it equipped, I think it would be a waste having it equipped anyway.
I've gotten 25-0 but don't have it equipped. I don't like having big killstreak rewards, mine are all under pavelow, that way once I get a pred.missile it's easy goin to the heli than to the pavelow. That way is less worrysome, and can get you a lot of kills. I only use the pavelow after I die, to get another missile and continue the cycle.
Well I think it's pretty cool if you get it a couple times, but definitely not useful in most cases. And also do kills from things in care packages/ emergency airdrop count towards your killstreak?
That would be a huge waste of a killstreak, even if it was only at 3 kills. Would you have it equipped instead of that pred or chopper gunner or AC130? I wouldn't. Besides, if you get a 25 killstreak your team should be winning anyway in most cases. Unless you are completely disregarding the gametype to get kills, in which case you will hurt your team and cause a loss much more often than you will get a nuke.
Getting a nuke isn't all that tough tbh, I just got my second one. Here's what you need as your killstreaks: @7 kills: Harrier @11 kills: Chopper gunner @25 kills: Nuke Now, you most likely won't get your first seen kills running around, so camping smartly isn't always a bad idea. There's a difference between stupid and smart campig: stupid campers stay in the same spot the entire ggame, and smart campers move to different spots in the same area every few kills to constantly suprise the enemies. Claymores with Scavenger are awesome to use. Anyway, once you get your harrier, find a safe area to place 'em, and just sit there. Given that they don't air your harrier down, you will get your Chopper in the matter of a minute. In Domination, it's always a good idea to place a harrier near an enemy territory. If it's the right map, getting that nuke with the Gunner should be pretty easy. Have fun!
Yeah, I just hate hiding and camping. I play fast paced. But your setup sounds good, ima unlock the harrier asap.
The only thing about Raynne's set up, is that AC-130 is worth considering, if you're on a map with open skies like Afghan, Chopper Gunner gets shot down like nothing since it takes two stingers, while AC requires three, and it's much easier to accidentally hit someone targeting you with Stingers since AC delivers splash damage. Killstreaks can be so easy to take out when people use Cold Blooded w/Stinger combo.
First of all: Nukes experiance is determined by the amount f people alive at the time of dropping. Second: Using the nuke is about the challenge of getting the nuke. Not the experience. Hence why everyone uses it straight off or until they die. I haven't seen people who do it for the kills or experience. You must go against some of the worst people ever.. Lucky. Everytime a chopper gunner is seen, someone shoots it down within seconds. AC-130 lasts at least 10-15 seconds but it always goes down in the end. Don't even get me started on Harriers. You might get a few kills with the airstrick but if a Chopper, with flares, lasts mere seconds how long do you think a Harrier with half the health and no flares is going to last? I don't even understand these games where I see people unable to shoot it down considering how easy it is. Only killstreaks that seem to be worth while are the UAV, Pave Low, AC-130, E air drop, Predator and Nuke. EMP does very little as the only time I see it useful is with a lot of air support in the air.
You're saying that people you play with actually shoot it down? I mean, I know that it's the smart thing to do and I usually do so pretty fast with a stinger, but there have been VERY few times where anyone else on my team or the enemy team even attempts to shoot these down. People online are just generally stupid and/or selfish.
Uh... Yeah. They do shoot it down. Annoyingly often in fact. My UAVs never stay in the sky for any longer then 10 seconds. I saw a few of my teammates actually shoot down airdrops. I've gotten rid of my Chopper killstreak because it never gets more then one kill. In fact, I don't know how it could be considered selfish for them to not shoot it down. They give point bonuse, challenges etc. just for shooting them down. I think it's just a growth period. People don't know you can shoot them down or they don't know that it's more beneficial to have the AT4-S rather then a shotgun etc.
Selfish because people only care about K/D and will hide until the mean things go away instead of helping their team out by destroying it. Either that or they run around like they don't even know their's an attack helicopter raining a **** storm on them. I would say the latter is more common in my experience. What playlist do you play in, because I never run into these people who shoot down my killstreaks.
And the later are probably those that don't even know how to shoot them down in the first place. Hilariously enough, I've only been playing Merc Team Deathmatch.
See, I play Merc TDM and TDM Express, and I've never run into this. I'm usually the person doing all the things you mentioned, like shooting down UAVs instantly, lol. I can imagine how annoying it'd be.
I'v encountered atleast 20. They must be more common on objective games like Domination and Demolition, because kills are still heavy, spawns are fast, but the spawns don't change very much and people are preoccupied.
Also, if I'm not mistaken, most Objective games have no timer (at least some of them don't). More time to get more kills.
You'd be correct. Im a newbie, so im sticking to Team Deathmatch until i get my mind wrapped around all of the different things.
Exactly. Claymores, scavenger, hardline, steady aim, with the tar 21 FMJ has got me a few. If you can get 7/8 kills then call in your harrier, you half way there. If you don't get all the kills with your chopper, you almost certainly wont be that far off. I guess you have to be lucky with who you play against. I know most of my nukes have been against those who haven't prestiged/are of a lower rank.
