well im thinking of making a new map and would like to ask if anyone would like to help me.Right know i dont have screenshots up but i can tell you a description.DESCRIPTION: it is in medieval times when a knight had to ride a horse triyng to hit another knight with a stick(i dont know how the weapon is called) and try to kill the other knight.Well my idea is a guy on a mongoose with another one with a flag on the back of the mongoose trying to kill the other persons VIP(man in the back of the mongoose FTW) you´ll onlly get points by killing the VIP.Theres no destination(the destination would be on a place impossible to reach) i know is a pretty basic game but it can be really fun when playing(*cough*cough*local*cough*)so if anyone wants to make it with me please send me a message or a F-R. ps: DON´T STEAL MY IDEA!!!!!!!ROFL!!!ROFL!!!!!!LOL! i forgot the vip uses a custom powerup!(vip means custom powerup guy)and forgot aswell you only get kills by killing the guy with the flag.
how are you going to have a person holding a flag if its VIP.....? Edit: ohh I didn't read that bit.. Yeah I can actually see this working very well.
Read the whole thread it will be a flag gametipe i was putting vip for very important person not everything is about halo you know?
lol.. the word fail comes to mind. So basically, you want a custom map created with a custom powerup at each spawn? each spawn also has a mongoose. The gametype is then set to multiflag.. where there are no flag score points. You then have to use only the flag, to kill the other players. So Scoring would be: Flag Capture: 0 Flag Return: 0 Flag Kill: 1 Suicide: 0 Betrayal: 0 Kill: 0 Headshot: 0 etc etc etc.... Then the flag carrier traits would change im guessing to flag instant kill? because otherwise, your gonna be just driving mongeese into each other forever...
Only 4 people are in the map,2 mongeese, rounds every kill,a small long bridge with a very low middle barrier, onli 1 life per round, skybubble, one respawn with custom powerup, the guy with custom cant drive the mongoose,1 honor rule grab the flag and dont play with jerks, maybe fail turned to an epic win?
This might work, but since people can beat down eachother in halo, I see they would most likely simply kill eachother almost every time. And what if they both miss? The flag thing requires honor rules, so a better way might be to play with actual VIP with swords as the weapons instead. Make the VIP passenge only, and the driver only vehicle use within VIP proximity. Place a barrier in the center so the only way to kill requires being up on a mongoose. The idea is nice and will probably be easy to forge. My idea for this (im still to lazy to forge it) includes choppers. Choppers are interesting because they can splatter eachother easily, whichever one is moving faster on impact kills the other. I suggest building a slightly confined space with choppers spawning at opposite ends. Give them some space to speed up, and the faster one wins. Since there are four choppers, you could make a cross in which all four choppers may crash in the middle, or a tournament where the winners of each initial crash have their choppers lifted to a second level where they fight eachother.
Hey alex, once upon a time in the middle of summer, me and a friend had an idea like t his i believe you are talking about a lance fight? Duel perhaps? i would be willing to make this with you, my friend now only plays COD, so he wont be making this idea, but i had a gametype set up for it, ill send you a FR or message
I Pondered on the idea for a bit and I think I know how you could make this into a neat little minigame. Instead of going for kill points you could actually have Captures. 4v4 multiflag. 2 players spawn next to their flag; pick it up and get in goose. And also have the custom power up on instant kill so the flag carrier and kill the passenger of the other team in 1 hit. Set teh custom power up to never spawn so you can't have two. Then the opposite does the same and drives up to a narrow hall. Then both teams drive through the hall and at some point must duel the other team towards the middle of the hall. Then they race to the end and score the point. Easy and fun, right?
Let's be honest here, this idea would almost certainly fail. If you go through with this you will learn. 1) Xbox Live kids hardly ever follow honor rules. 2) The picky FH population don't likeoverly simplistic maps. I suggest you find out a little more about what people like, and then present it to the community for some more feedback.
