For about 3 years now I've been playing Guild Wars quite frequently, but, I'm starting to get bored without it now and I was hoping you guys could suggest me another good MMO. I don't mind if its on a monthly subscription or not as long as its not overly expensive. Before playing Guild Wars I played WoW a bit but found it quite boring. I also tried out Champions Online at the free weekend but I wasn't sure how much lasting appeal it would have. EDIT: If you know, would you mind telling me whether they have a free trial or not.
This. Having played Guild Wars now myself since a month after its launch, I can admit I'm getting bored too. I tried out the EVE trial and it was pure bliss. I'm a fan of sci fi, so that obviously attributes to it. Nevertheless, go for the trial.
Eve is a must I have played EVE for... Ok, so I havn't actualy played it so don't take my word on it but I've read the reviews. I've followed the articles. In fact, the moment I get a better internet connection, I am goinf to be allllllllllllllllllll over that. And trust me, according to what i've heard, the game is so diverse, if you do even a few things different when starting a new game (sort of like making a new character on WoW), It will almost be a completely different experience. And the best part, it's a single, pure, undetached server. Everybody playing will be playing with you. And the hugeness of the game has been glorified time and time again. But, on the other side of the coin, the game could lag in some parts. And if the server gets too crowded, you better get ready for a few days off during repair and expansion. Better just to take a look at the trial and ask some professionals though. It might pay off, HUGE!
