Temptation You have undoubtfully viewed the wrong thread, if your looking for a smooth and enjoyable racetrack. I'm sorry to say, this map is simply a waste of your hard drive space, your time and your effort. If you really insist on seeing a rather large collection of pictures of the track, then knock yourself out below. I, unfortunately have wasted 40 hours of my life creating this track, which with no question sucks. Over the period of 2 months on and off, the sloppy and grueling turns wind together into this peice of ****. I'm sure you can find a much more enjoyable racetrack such as Andromeda or Glaciate. Being modest is one thing but.... Anyways, I'm missing the problem. This track looks just as nice as your other works, and considerably longer. If the racing on the track itself is rather bumpy, just blame ghost merging.
I initially wrote all of that as a joke. I thought that the presentation of racetracks nowadays is too simple and needs to be spiced up. Hopefully the majority of members will understand the concept of the name Temptation and the way I described the track.
It did make me want to DL haah, but could you add some more ascetic features The corner tunnel-roo is cool ooh! ohh! maybe a 'wall half bunker" and the wall slit curve
Haha, after spending so much time on a map I would hate it too. But the map looks nice and smooth and you're not giving yourself enough credit. race tracks are really hard to make and this one looks good. Don't talk down to your map when you don't even know what people are going to say about it...
Looks smooth, fun and, if I could access my 360, what I'm sure would be an amazing ride. And even if the map was crap, that presentation was the slickest I've ever seen . -=Moxus=-
I was gonna say... I had no idea you were finishing this. You showed me it when you were getting to the point where it merges into the ground a little bit. Did you get that to be smooth? Looks great though. I'll check it out. Oh, and thanks for mentioning Glaciate
Hmmm, looks smooth, looks nice, the amazing consistent turns, the one thing it lacks is originality. Yes it may be very smooth and have a different type of layout but it's just the same thing. I'm not tryna be mean at all but it's the truth. I'm not gonna say add aesthetics because I think it's just annoying when people say that, the track itself has aesthetics. I do think it looks good and will try it once I get live back so I won't give a rating now. Oh yeah and is the destination cheat-proof? It looks like there are two grav-lifts, with no teleporters and maybe some man-cannons. I'm thinking the wedgelong is there so you can't crouch under, but w/e. I'll try this when I get back.
Yeah, the money glitch deleted my teleporters and i was unable to retrieve them so I was forced to make it so only the mongoose can fit under the destination. it is still cheatproof though. And i know what you mean by the lack of originality, I just built this map for fun, I wasen't entirely focused on creating some astounding unique track. Thanks for the comment though
Excellent racetrack Flair! I thought you were serious about your map presentation until I read a couple posts down. Honestly I was tempted to download Temptation just to see what you thought "****" really was. Hehehehe... But that's beside the point. I really didn't start out reading your map description, and you know why that is. You, Flair, are a highly respected racetrack creator that everybody knows, and expects to only make amazing racetracks. So like any other chum, I went straight for the pictures and found myself amazed by the length of the racetrack. The only flaw I could see is that section where the track meets up with the sand for one wall length, but I'm sure that's more flat than how I see it. Or does it cause problems in gameplay? Anyways, Temptation is just that... Tempting. If I could download it then I would, but sadly I do not have internet. If I did though, I would be playing it by now. Rating maps is old school... Though if I could rate this, I would rate it on a fun factor rather than a competitive factor. Because like you said, you made this map for fun, not to be an outstanding unique track. Lulwut?
I was going to say, I was a tad confused, and I think a lot of other people were too. Sarcasm doesn't always come out the way you intended to on the internet. But good work.
Haha i love the sarcasm now THATS hiw you introduce a track looks really good i like the mergi g of the ground with your track. Not best of the year but still pretty good looks nice and long (insert sex joke here). I would DL but i never use race tracks. Anyway you get my vote 4.8/5
First I'd like to add. WHOA! this track is very nicely layed out and I saw you start the S wave and I didn't know what you were till working on it. I have ti say that it turned out very nicely. Chung_wii's review for Temptation by Flair iz NasTy Errors: - The Destination. You say it is uncheatable but it sadly is not. You can drive through the destination with your vehicle one either side and just sit there and get points. -Could jump from the BIG dune onto the wooden turn. (i had to block that off on my track too. Impressions: -The track is VERY smooth. I was like WOW. - The aesthetics aren't too bad. I liked some of them. Suggestions: - I would suggest putting man cannons on the destination or something. But idk how much budget you have. Final Thoughts: This is a verydecent track. The track has a few bumps. But they were nothing major and I REALLY liked it. This will certainly stay on mu hard drive this Christmas. Difficulty - easy/medium Creativity - 3-5 Flow - 5-5 Race-Ability - 4-5 Clarity - 5-5 Entertainment - 4.5-5 Overall: 5/5 Good job Flair, don't stop making tracks bro. Keep em coming.
