Ridge?

    Got bored so I decided to make this little map for fun. It's on the cliff side of standoff. I have run out of immovable objects to make the map any bigger, but This was intended for small teams anyway. I asked GunnerGrunt earlier if I could make a conquest map, he said sure, but I don't know if it will tun out well for conquest or not. Being that it is actually too small.

    Well anyway, I don't think many people if any have made a map on the cliffs so it should be first of its kind. If I make it for conquest, I would would like some ideas on how to give it more of a conquest feel and make it appropriate for the gametype. I definitely DON'T want to disgrace conquest. If I do make it a conquest map I will get rid of the 2 bridges on the center edge of the map because that is pretty much illegal in conquest. And BTW, you can jump through the bridges that are on top of each other.

    This is very interesting. You should not try to do conquest, it's way too small. I have no clue what you could use it for. 1v1 or 2v2?

    It looks very clean, though. Good job!

    P.S: also like the cliffside idea.

    ha i had this idea but never got around to it,, it looks great, i only have one suggestion try using movable objects as extend-able platforms and you can brace them with receivers, weapon holders, ect.

    The new glitch someone found with the crates where they spawn out a bridge would go great with this. It is a bit small but might still work with 4-6 players on conquest. You could probably make it capable of both conquest and regular games, if you dont understand I will explain.

    Wow! talk about aesthetics! this is a a genius idea, do conquest, its kind of small for anything else and IMO aesthetics are aq main point in conquest maps. I need to make a map like this on something with a ridge, 10/10

    That idea, good man, is pretty damn sweet. I'll have to agree to make it for assualt and CTF and not conquest because of the size, but the aesthetics would just be a big bonus during gameplay. I'll be looking forward for this release fosho.

    This has been done before, a loooong time ago. For conquest as well.

    Cliffhanger

    Don't do it for conquest, it's a boring repetitive gametype. Do something else... Flag maybe? I'm not sure I rarely play this game anymore...

    I thought that someone may have already done it. Oh well. But then again, if I can make a better version...

    If you could point me to that thread that would be great. I am not really sure what the glitch was when I saw it.

    I have 5 fence boxes left and I have 2 bridges left, so I think I may be able to do it for conquest.

    I have some time now so I will explain the conquest thing.
    When you place the spawn points in slayer, place extras on the ends in a spawn area set to eigth team since no one usually uses an eigth team. For conquest, place all central spawn points in the eigth team spawn area, and attackers and defenders spawn areas on the ends.

    oooh oooh use the bridge of crates method and put a custom holding them back so the custom can serve two purposes to realease the crates and supply health or sheilds

    The only problem I see with doing that is that you can't control how many come out. For example, if I wanted to make 1 on each side, one team could shoot and use all of the crates and then the other team would be screwed. Like you can't make two bridges and control how many come out at each end.

    But I will make it bigger with what little I have and hopefully it will turn out to be a good map.

    Edit: Couldn't you just spawn all of the crates in the same place and when you shoot them they will all jet out at the same time. That way you can control how many come out on each side. They might get stuck though or it might be laggy.

    Edit (again): Hmmm. 50-50

    Wow that could be great for a Conquest map . Maybe if you need help for the base or something like that , you know my GT .

    Thanks, but I like to go solo. I'll see if the bridge of crates thing works.
