havent stopped in in a while.. yeah ive been busy and just kinda not doing much GFX stuff :(

anyways, i wanna do something to get back in, so heres my idea....

we take a Halo 3 map... say.. High ground. get a large arial view of the map. maybe if someone pan-cammed out or maybe we could use the bungie heatmap or something.. but some kind of overview of the map.

then, do a power weapon like.. sniper rifle (things like shotgun and sword wouldn't work because people either walk around with it in their back pocket or camp with it), and we watch an entire film of a game on that map... and track the sniper's progress throughout the level. as one person dies, another picks it up, and goes to where he likes to go with the sniper rifle...

basically, we would have a long line spanning the entire map as we follow the sniper rifle as it goes around the map, changing hands and taking kills...

lemme know what you think of the idea, i wanted to do something relating to halo, and also something that i can use to get me back into PS.

if we wanted, we could make it a community project, get a kind of standardized way to track it, then each person would do one per map...

kinda silly idea but i like the thinking of it...

hmm lets see. we start with a picture such as this. (although we would probably want it bigger.

then, basically we take a film from matchmaking and follow the progress of the power weapon... and as it moves we depict a sort of line of movement of the weapon.

so for example, there you have standoff. We decide to track the Splaser obviously.. as one team grabs it and say.. moves back to their base with it, the line, originating at the center spawn, moves back, following the movement of the player.

i think we should try timestamping the line every minute/kill so you can get a sense of the timeframe of the game.

meh the idea is starting to sound kind of fragile, but i still like it
