(Unnamed) Longshore map

    Here's a map I've been working on, and then forgot about it for just under a month. It was originally going to be entered in the Hub of the Dead Contest, but it wasn't ready at the moment. Here's some pictures for you to preview:

    Its pretty much ready to release. All I need is a good name, since I can't come up with any right now...

    I is a slayer or infection map? But it looks pretty darn good in my opinion so far. And how about naming it Addendum just because that's catchy and fun to say. It means something conjoined or added. I don't know if it fits the map or anything, but just a suggestion ;)

    Its an infection map. I don't know if Addendum works. I was going for a 'infected' Water Purifying Center kind of name. I know its kind of a vague set of guidelines. Right now, the name if Sewers. Lame, I know.

    Treatment Plant?

    Is there a way to get behind the turret as an infected? Otherwise it might be over powered.

    How about something like Gutter if its like a sewer. Go on thesaurus.com and look up some synonyms for some names you might have because that always brings a good word out.

    I like the word Treatment, but not 'Plant'.

    What do you mean behind the turret? No, the zombies cannot use the turret if thats what you mean.

    Sludge bucket and i like treatment but than it kinda sounds like a hospital. Well nice map i dried to make a similar map and failed im happy to see that it worked for you :)

    I think he means that the turret

    is in a position where it doesn't appear as if there is a way to get around it as the zombie and the only option for taking it on is to charge straight forward en masse and most likely getting massacred.

    Yes, that's what I'm talking about. If it's all just one big pipe (such as it appears in the pictures), the turret is going to be OP'd. The last guy can easily hold off the entire zombie swarm, even if they have shields. Just hold down the trigger and spray side to side a bit.

    Ohhhhhh. I see what your saying now. And no, that is not the only way to get to the turret. The map is NOT a one way tunnel. There really are no campy places, since the way the map is set up. There is a corner placed literally right after the end of the picture, so zombies can easily attack the turret from behind if they spawn back there. If they don't spawn back there, they can also use the other tunnel which goes around the map and still effectively kill and turret.

    Do you have to jump inside those open boxes? If you do, that's really annoying.
    Anyways, I love how it looks. The bridge looks sooooo cool because it only has a bit of water on it.

    No, they are all on the same level, there is only a small, almost unnoticeable bump between boxes and walls.

    EDIT: Oh, do you mean in the 4th picture? The box is turned upside down, so it does involve some height variation, and some stealth cover ;) There is a box that serves as a ledge right before each box. They aren't frustrating to use.

    I would suggest not making this for infection... modify it for conquest... and people would love it....

    I had that same exact thought today about doing that. Besides I don't think it would work out well for infection anyway. It would be way too hard for the infected. If you won't do it I will.

    The map isn't really set up for conquest. Its too narrow and just too small. And it does have multiple pathways, so you'd have to delete a whole part of the map.

    Oh, and its really not that hard to kill humans. The map actually has a strategic sort of feel, despite the fact its so simple. Maybe that's why the map has the strategic feel. Being a zombie and following other zombies into battle really is satisfying, especially when you take a different route and try to ambush the humans from the side. Believe me, it supports Infection really well.

    Ahh I see... well I am meaning the map look like conquest from the pictures you took. Didn't see the overview to know multiple path way were there. I do still suggest as an open topic to have conquest in water. Would be extremely fun, to have new grenade effect as well crouching in water to hide.

    So, I'm excited to see more of this map now. As well to see if some one will actually build a conquest on long-shore. I'll be sure to DL your map as soon as it is posted and if you need testing Invite me.

    This looks cool for sure. I once had the name to build a map under Longshore too. Try maybe putting some crates on the walkway leading to the turret and give a way to flank it as well. Also for the name I like Contamination or Rotting/rotten Fish
