Making objects fall is easy with starting new rounds, but there is a limit to how high these can be placed. To place objects ABOVE the death barrier on sandbox do the following. place a short column place a grav lift on top set to spawn after start replace the short column with a damaged column start new round and HOLD weapon on the block immediatly when the gravlift spawns release the weapon the gravlift will carry the block with the weapon to the top of the map (absolute object barrier past the death barrier) where it will stop and the teardrop for the weapon will be saved. The significant problem remains that objects touching the absolute barrier are automatically deleted, so something needs to be placed between the object being place and the death barrier, (sometimes weapons can be placed under the column so they stick and will not be deleted) I am working on a process for doing this to heavier objects such as scorpions and hornets which are not affected by grav lifts. Man-cannons should work but ar incredibly difficult to use.
Nice find. This does seem hard and inaccurate, however. Isn't it possible just to hold the object outside of the death barrier and then save changes?
It seems as if you have something really good here. I can't wait to see if you can perfect this. Keep me updated. I'm really interested to see what techniques you can think of to improve this.
I agree that saving changes with an object a moderate distance outside is easier; however, this gives you an extremely limited range past the death barrier. Once doing my method I got a column to about double the height of the towers (past when I died at the death barrier) so it fell to the ground with ungodly speed. I forgot to mention placing a warthog on the block will stabilize it. If you have ever played blast off, it uses the same principle but for an actual gametype. Go outside skybubble on a guardians blocked map, and drop an object to see the epicness this can create, (this however will only get about half the speed of something droping from the absolute barrier. Using a dummied mancannon and wall, I could send these a short distance, but with a scorpion or other vehicle the mancannon may stick better, thus allowing heavy vehicles to be dropped. The greatest problem with mancannons is they push objects in a diagonal path.
