Fish and Clips (new name?)

    Lately I've been working on a map on Longshore. It feels really refreshing to create something on a map other than sandbox.

    Anyway to the map. I'm probably 30% of the way through and just wondering if you guys have any ideas you would like to pitch in?
    The map uses about half of Longshore. The parts exluded include the bridge, red tower, dock area and blue spawn area that is part of the docks. Because the map is medium in size it would be suitable for 2v2, 3v3 or 4v4. Anymore I doubt would work.
    Also when I've finished it I would like about 7 people to help me test it out. Just PM me if you want to.

    Main area overview/red spawn to the far right. And no you cant get up there.

    Blue spawn. You cant get up there either.

    Central building from blue POV. That spawn point marks a central location/ the location of a power weapon/powerup.

    Some sort of central block thing. You can jump from the bridge control room up and vice versa.

    Side pathway sort of thing.

    Notes:
    -This map is asymmetrically built but plays symmetrical.
    -Ghosts too overpowering on small map? (the maps not done yet though)
    -I'm trying to include some really nifty jumps in the map. I already have the bridge control room to walkway jump and a jump inside the central building.

    Any suggestions?

    Personally, I'd like a more in depth look. If you'd like to offer that to me, add me and invite me to a game so I can give my full two cents on it.

    So far, I'm digging it. It seems like it would run great for a 4v4. I also like the name a lot. It's memorable and it's just one of those silly names that I find myself attracted to because of how awesome it is.

    This is interesting me. Looks like fun for a 4v4. But, as with the above post, I'd like a more in depth look.

    The ghost might work on the map. I'm not sure.

    Name = winsauce. Keep it or I'll use it.

    No, no, winsauce is an adjective in this case--he's saying "Fish and Clips" is quite the Winsauce name, and if you don't use it, he will.

    KEEP THE NAME! I saw the name at the bottom of your sig and i thought hmmm i want to see that map anywAy th map looks good, nice merging and good spawns this gets a gold star :)

    From what I can see this looks pretty good so far. Nice merging the Traxus crates to make ramps. You might wanna start gathering testers a little further down line though, it's a little to early to start asking for testers just yet. The name, fish and clips doesn't seem very appealing to me. If you want a good name I would use the thesaurus from dictionary.com. Just type a word that describes your map and it will spit out a ton of words that mean the same thing but are much more attractive.

    hey thanks for all the comments guys.
    I might make another preview when I've finished the map and ask for testers again then. That way I can then get feedback from whoever helps me test and just finalize my map.
    As for the name, well I might make a poll in the next preview and see what you guys think then.

    in order for the ghost to work, an opposing team must have more than one way of stopping it. The ghost shouldn't really overpower you, but just make sure that you can use the ghost for a time. (I believe this is a small map with some space, correct?)

    ^^^ I just found that funny. ^^^

    As for the map, it looks pretty nice for a longshore map. The problem is, you don't have as many materials as you would like for such a large map. You can change enough to make it interesting, but as far as competitive maps go, I don't usually like Longshore. The only complaint as far as forging is in the first pic with the ghost, the wall seems a bit sloppy. It may just be the picture though.

    It's always refreshing to see someone make entirely new structures to change the base of the map. I cannot really tell from your images, but a ghost looks slightly overpowering. I imagine the ghost would be continually boarded and the map seems a bit small to have anti-vehicle weapons. If you keep the ghosts, there could not be a gravity hammer, since this can send a ghost flying over many walls. Some walls look escapable with grenade jumpiing that you might want to heighten.

    just to clarify in the first picture of the map there is ghost next to the bridge control room ramp. I know its hard to see but there are ghost for both teams.
