This is more of a teaser than a preview, that's right Duncan Hills is set to release by next week. There are a few things about the map that I've been working on that many have not seen and therefore will be a surprise to the people who've tested and/or seen it. Duncan Hills was inspired by the two favorite one-sided Avalanche maps, Castlanche and Sahara of Snow. After much testing, many have come to realize that this map strays away from the stereotypical BTB map and combines Avalanche's gameplay with a style of its own. Duncan Hills brings out parts of Avalanche that are very underused while cancling out some parts being overused. Using the dark side of Avalanche, Duncan Hills uses an improved version the original Avalanche base (something I haven't seen before) opposite to the attackers custom made cliff-side base. The numerous paths have thier own unique advantages and disadvantages that will become apparent when strategizing with your team. The gameplay is special in it's own way (succesfully utulizing both infintry and vehicular combat) and a comepletely different experience than normal BTB. Duncan Hills has been viewed to some as one of the Avalanche Elites and if you believe this should reign along the side of the maps I previously mentioned, than I'm honored and thankful. So be on the lookout for Duncan Hills and try it out for yourself when you wish to. But for now all you will know for now is from the above picture and description.
I would love to try it out before you release it Urban. Invite me if you get a game going. This map sounds really interesting and you are making it sound extremely appealing. Please don't disappoint us!
I really liked Castlanche. I hope this one has the same feel and gameplay. I'll be sure to give it a looksie when you release it.
Will you have a release date on when this will be posted? Seems like a wonderful idea that been in everyone's face that is not often done. I hope to see a much more wonderful map than one picture... But what can I say, I done similar teasing. Can't wait to take a look Urban... And you should definitely keep us teased till you finally post it.
I'm interested in this. If you need testers I'll be happy to help. This honestly sounds really appealing. I just don't have enough Avalanche maps on my hard drive...
I saw Duncan hills and I thought you posted it already... And for all of you that are wondering it IS a great map.
^ Yeah I think he got the name from that actually, if I remember correctly... I still can't believe it's not released yet. It's a great map Urban, I hope it gets done soon.
The man is correct and dont worry debayter, the map is finished, we just have to get a video finished and then it's ready.
Castlanche is one of my favourite custom maps so I am very excited to see this one. How long till it will be released? And please tell me you have colour co-ordinated the double boxes
