You should put more than one pic on a map post as people like to know what they're downloading. Your link to the detailed thread is broken, and NEVER double post maps. Seriously, don't do it. Just make one detailed post and that's it. I'm not going to download as there is only one pic and I have no idea what the map is like or what the looks like. Sorry.
I mean from this one pic it looks alright, but where is the weapon list? And give moreeee pics please. You'll get so much more attention to your maps if your post looks good with sections for pics, description, a weapon and equipment list, and a working DL link. But from what I can see the map looks unique yet a little amateur.
The pirate ships are rectangular, and until you show me a pic of a rectangular pirate ship I won't accept any rectangular ships in my sea. See? But besides that the map looks a little sloppy in some places. Looks like there are some bumps and spaces scattered throughout the pirate ship that bring down the aesthetics. You may want to include a weapons list in future competitive map posts. Just saying. It would help us to make suggestions about the map to have balanced gameplay.
first off, I really like your concept, and I think you pulled it off fairly well. but I noticed a few problems. The first suggestion is really no big deal, I would prefer the name if you spelled it with an S instead of a Z. second, most people agree that shield doors slow down gameplay, and heavilly promote camping, so I suggest you remove the one in the 3rd picture. lastly, I suggest removing the top mast, because the lines of sight from that position would be rediculously overpowered, and there seems to be only wone way to get up there, which makes it a horrible chokepoint. Also, I suggest removing hidden weapons. While it may seem like a good idea, all it really does is give players who know the map a huge unnecessary advantage. I will download the map then get back to you.
Square ships, shield doors, bumpy floors, no merging, skinny walkways, a single hornet? No offence, but these are the kind of things that go into a little kid's infection map, not something in a well thought out competitive map. Take some pride in your maps. The idea is here but poorly executed. You definitly need to make the ships curved, not only for aesthetics but to concentrate fighting towards the middle with longer walkways on each side. With ghostmerging you should have no trouble making the ships curved with a bit of time. You should also use mancannons and widen the walkways to increase flow from one side to another; possibly even add smaller boats between for people to hop across. Curve the insides of the ships so people can easily get to the edges. Remove the killballs (random killballs look bad), hornet and whatever the hornet is sitting on. You may want to add a banshee of transport hornet on each side, along with a ricebucket (armored stationary gauss warthog). Be sure people cannot just sit in the base protected, and must go out in the open to fight. At your discretion you may want to add gloomy to give a different feel to the game.
All of your opinions are mostly right but consider this I made this map WAY before I knew how to ghost merge or properly place weapons and respawns or anything for that matter due to lack of testing.Nontheless I do plan on making a second version.
