Hey guys just wondering how far would people be able to connect with eachother with LAN? Because me and my friend live like a block away (1 minute walk) and was wondering if we would be able to connect using LAN.
Local Area Connections (LAN) are when you connect two (or more) Xboxes and play with very minimal lag and no need of an Internet connection. As long as you have 2 TVs, 2 360s, and a long enough Ethernet cord connected between said 360s, you're fine.
If you get a long enough cable you probably could. But don't buy a cheap one. get a good one so you wont notice that slight lag. Wish i could LAN with my block buddies.. :[
Basically. If the guy lives next door, I could see it happening, but anything further than that it would be easier for one to bring their xbox to your place, etc.
ok it's getting a cable $1.30 a metre, i have 3 100 metre ones but i hardley ever use it, it get's use when i have freinds out and where in tents with LCDs and xboxs
