Dont ask about the name, just the first thing that came to mind. Its definitely subject to change (lemme know if you have any suggestions). So anyways, ive always had an idea floating around my head to make a small, competitive/MLG map on ghost town. And with the relatively new ghost merging technique, that idea finally made it into a map. All the map's geometry is complete. I've cut off about half of the actual map. I've got a general idea of what I want to do with weapon placement and spawn areas, but i would definitely like some expert help. If you would like to help, let me know! I will be on this weekend. I know the pictures are a little vague, i'll try to get some more up some. Comments and suggestions would be great!
Idk too make a competitive ghost town map is really really difficult same with an mlg this seems to be more of a causal map. But if you need anyhelp just hit me up id love too, iv made quite a few ghost town maps and know the map very well.
Competetive from the way it looks, is the center building blocked off? If not I think either a sniper or overshield should go there.
Thanks man, do you think you would be able to help with spawns? That's the main aspect left that I'm working on. Well that and weapon placement. And have you seen the map Greenhouse? It's a small competitive map that gave me the inspiration to do this. And I'm hoping I can capture that competitive feel like Greenhouse did. That post was cool, nice spamming The observatory isn't blocked off, so that's definitely a good idea. Im thinking of putting OS there because I like my current placement of the sniper (perch shown in 1st pic). Also it would give people an incentive to go the observatory. Still looking for some advice on spawns if you're interested!

Ok cool. I sent you a FR but I havent been able to stay on for a long enough time to get your help. Next time you're on H3 i'll send you an invite UPDATEOk so i said the map's geometry was completed. buuuut i lied. After some 1v1 testing (just put together a quick weapon set and spawns, not permanent), i found there was one spot on the map that i was uncomfortable with. I didnt (and still dont) know what to do, so ive come up with four different versions. I havent gotten to test all of them but hopefully one will stand out. I will galdly take testers if anyone is interested. I need to get some major testing done on the different versions. Criticism would be GREATLY appreciated. Version 1 Version 2 Version 3 Version 4
I personally like version 2 for MLG, but version 3 for competitive... meh... Nice brocking BTW, that wall is amazing.
I would be more then willing to help out with tests on this map (GT: Krazy Kumquat). Also, version four looks like it would play best, but that's just based off the pictures.
Meh? And thanks for the compliment! Even though I ghost merged which usually makes things quicker, I spent loads of time making sure each piece was perfectly placed. I have a pretty flexible schedule. Lemme know when you can and i'll most likely be able to. Thanks man i'll send you a FR. And yeah im leaning towards either v3 or v4, mostly because the ramps provide easy access to the second story. Only problem with the ramps is that it crowds the ground floor and sometimes gets in the way
I just ran out of time for my gold membership, so I'm gonna make a temporary account, I'll send you the Gamer Tag once I make it. As for the ramps, the fourth one seems better because the third one has the ramp out in the middle of the road, while the fourth one is tucked to the side.
Ok, so I've got some testing done and I'm pretty sure I'm going with version 4... if any of the testers have any feedback it'd be great. I'm still going to do a little more testing just to get eveything perfect. So if anyones down to test lemme know
ohhhhkay. Sorry this took so long to get up been at work everyday since that night. so after testing your map, I will say i was impressed by the flow of it. It felt a little like Cold Storage bent into a corner, which was good. some dead ends were bad [that section with the plasma grenades, since you and one right above by the plasma rifle] but overall it was a good map. As far as having a WOW factor, or anything like that, I will admit it was one of the actual ghost town maps that were just stuff moved, so it had that. nothing more besides it though. I enjoyed playing on it. Anything more than 3 people would be to much, or a 2on2. the spawns seem to work really well so kudos on getting that down. only other thing: what was the respawn on the needler ?

oops.. sorry xD What i MEANT was, its a map thats MORE than just moving stuff around, and throwing random crap around. And I picked it up and It never re spawned. I ran out of ammo and kept going back to re-fill, but it never was there.
Sorry I could never test, I couldn't get one free month of gold on my new account. I'd like to eventually play. At least visitor message me if you post it anytime soon, that way I can at east play it with my friends.
Ok, so I've fixed a few problems with dead ends and whatnot, im almost positive that im done tweaking the map. The only thing left i need to do before releasing it is just see if this map will work with 2v2 and 4 player ffa games. I will most likely put it up in the testers guild later tonight
