It seems...interesting. I dont really see it in any practical uses in a map or anything but still its pretty cool. I would neaten up your map a little bit because yuor walls are crooked and you should add a lot more to the map- it just looks weird sitting there alone
This is obviously meant to be a "tool" map; demonstrating a technique. Like a switch. Of course it's supposed to be sitting there alone. I do see MANY uses for this actually.
Hey neat idea but I remember this being done a while back with the zipline. The escalator has also been done before. If you need help cleaning up your forging send me a FR. I hope to see you put this in a neat map!
dude i think the zipline has already been done but the escalator seem like a good idea but i still dont see any practical uses on a custom game.
... I could think of many uses, maybe forged to look better, but still could be useful for custom games. It might have already been done before though, someone must have come up with this already.
I mean its cool, but to be aesthetic this has to look good. All it is, is stairs with a man cannon and walls with grav lifts. I need to see something that will blow me away for a DL!
Ill post the map when im done with it, it might be a while though, and yes, it is a 'tool map' as someone else stated, not an actual map, i plan to ghost merge walls to the side of it to cover up the man cannon, and possibly make it longer, planning on making a zombie map, with 5 chapters similar to left 4 dead. And thanks for the offer for help, if i run into some trouble ill be sure to ask . Edit: @phenomenal: this was meant to be a switch concept map, not an aesthetic map, read the thread, and previous comments before posting
Agreed. I haven't tested these out, but the zip line could be extremely useful. There's a ton of creative things you could do with it.
my plan was to use wall corners, and set the gravlifts in the edge of it to simulate actually sliding down a rope, with a small pit underneath the sliding area of the zipline, also i did a search, and it has been done before, but the escalator has not been posted here.
